Sergei, Sure it does. Thats why Russian stuff is so much cheaper that German stuff, especially when rarity is used. Look at the little mini-horde JasonC put together to face the Pz Pioneer Platoon even though both sides had the same amount of points. Would have been even more lopsided if he bought all Green troops. Why else would a ten man Russian squad cost less than a simularly armed 8 man German Infantry squad, etc. etc. I'm just saying that the Game acurately shows the disparity in numbers and material on the front. RS Colonel, Yep that's right, it is night and day. JasonC has the right approach. Play the Germans for their strong points and the Russians for theirs. For the most part the Russian can usually buy a bunch more stuff for the same points than the Germans can. Use it. Totally accurate. Let's see, how many Russians were on the front vs. the Germans? Alot more. How many Russians got killed vs the Germans? Alot more. Who won? DavidI

Sergei, Looks like they were reinacting the early part of the war when the trifle shortage was acute in the Soviet Army. This was mainly due to Stalin's pre-war 5 year plan that basically regulated trifle production down to the level of cast iron condom production. It wasn't until 1943 that trifle production was finally up to usage and spoilage levels. Ironically cast iron condom production was always up to usage and spoilage levels. DavidI

Still happens in both CMAK and CMBB, many times enemy tanks are misidentified as whatever the biggest enemy tank of the time may be. So Germans see that JSII, while the Russians and Americans think they see a Tiger. I love it. I've played whole games of CMBB trying to avoid that Tiger tank out there and then when the game was over I saw that it was a Pz IVH. Lord knows the Allies id'ed every tank they saw as Tigers. Sunray, AndrewTF said that they got swallowed up in the great CMMOD's crash. He also said that he would put them back up some time, but I haven't seen them yet. UncleTgt may well have gotten them before the crash. You may want to start a topic on CMAK side asking for Andrew to find them and upload them. DavidI

Aragorn2002, The darker 251/9 is still on COMMODs. It comes with the 251/16 (shares bmps) and is dated 11/1/05. The darker ones are named SPW 251/1 ww DI as opposed to SPW 251/1 Lt ww DI (for the lighter). DavidI

Krautman, Goering wanted the Luftwaffe to man all Anti-Aircraft guns, period. Under the theory that if they shot down planes, they should belong to the Air Force. He lost that particular, petty grab for authority. Therefore Heer and SS formations manned their own Flak guns. However there were numerous independent Luft AA Battalions and Regiments formed. In Russia they were often called upon to use their 88's in an anti-tank role. Some of these units would have security troops, but no real infantry companies per say. I know that the HG Flak Regiment had a Recon Company that had a Recon Infantry Platoon and an Armored Car Platoon - but I think that was the exception. As to LW Field Divisions, thats a different story... DavidI

Krautman, Carell's books "Hitler Moves East" and "Scorched Earth" were the very first books I read on the Eastern Front. Did inspire me to read more. You will notice a trend in all his writing that is pro-German and has a weird "We're winning! We're winning! Oh, we lost." pattern repeated many times. DavidI

BCGovt, Practice against the AI. Play against a human. Even against the most green human you will get a better fight (although there are some scenarios that are specifically set up for AI only battles that are very challenging). The computer never writes back and says, "Did you see that building blow up!". IP play is bitchin too, mainly for small to medium scenarios. DavidI

BCGOVT, These tankheads are even more dense than the average modern US tankhead! You must carefuly plot their every turn. If you draw a straight line and it intersects with an obsticle, they will back up and plot their own, seemingly random course around it (usually involving 15 waypoints)! So again, micro manage your tanks. DavidI

Alexander Solkinizin (I think I butchered his last name) went to jail, for the 1st time, when he suggested that maybe it wasn't a good idea to rape and murder the Poles (much less the Germans) in his area of operations.
