  1. You know what a "Bauernopfer" is? Especially german tank doctrine was agressive ("Ausnutzen!") and like Soviets they sometimes don´t bother losses. To the CM engine: The AI normally concentrates its troops (also tanks) in one ( or two) points. It would be a good idea to identify them with light, fast tanks (or PSW´s) and then to outflank the concentrations by using the terrain ( speed is essential). Enemy stragglers should be destroyed immediatly if encountered. Especially useful against tanks with slow turret speed is the two pronged attack with delays: Get in view of enemy tanks with one group from one side, retreat or get in cover, then attack the group from another angle ( it can even be only a marginal agnle for the opposing forces).
  2. Get a better machine or edit the Operation with less troops involved. The reason why most systems will "hung up" is in first place not the large numbers but all those .... shellholes on the map. Erasing them will help (don´t ask me how).
  3. I think that the GW41/43 were developed as an answer to the russian SVT38/40.
  4. That´s possible. I remembered losing a Hummel that way in CMBO. Another option may be the use of an AT-Mine by the german squad.
  5. My grandfather was NCO (Schirrmeister) in JG27 in the Balkans, Mediterian and Germany. My family has somewhere his Wehrpass... My grandfather maternal was NCO in the ecuadorean Cavalry guards, and during the Ecuadorean-Peruean war in 1942 member of a motorised/armored unit (they got czech tanks). He remembered the capture of about 40 Japanese fighting in the Peruan army...

  8. I played it as Germans and had a hard time against the hordes of british 2pders and those nasty Grants. I suggest you use your Valentines first until the Grants arrive. Keep tight together with infantry as your eyes behind this central hill and use scout cars and the agile carriers to recon your flanks.
  9. Can we expect Easy Eights disguised as Israelian Super Sherman with US Airborne as israelian ones against PzIVJ from the Syrians fighting for the control of the Golan hights?
  10. I remembered that here was a bmp modification for the british helmet in cmbo in the "War at the rim: Those forgotten bastards" mod.
  11. E.g. if a scenario designer adds to an attacking side their units points extra in order to prevent low morale (under 20) and mass capitulating to the end of a scenario, when he is expecting high losses.
