Interface portraits bmp list needed
junk2drive replied to Tarkus's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
I sent you what I have, it is not much. I checked the file lists for cmmos. They only list the numbers, not a description. I suggest you get the ASL portrait mod. Unzip it into a folder so that you can look at the country and rank with the number. -
Selecting embarked units??

Also listed as hotkeys on your screen. But not well explained. Best is to set up a QB and play with the hotkeys to see what they do. -
Andrew TF - Need you permission for a mod. Again.

David, fyi, take a screenshot and shrink it down in size and kb's and include it in your uploads to cmmods. I can help you with pc questions, other with mac questions. I liked Andrew's quilted white FJ for CMBB and I renumbered those for CMAK. I do like your yellow collar tabs and blue pants though. Keep on modding. -

I have some of them in notepad based on my own testing. I can email them to you. -
Thanks for the info, Vixen, I wondered about that. Some Native Americans had similar practices. Further research on T34/85 leads me to believe they could traverse snow and soft ground. Chris' CMBB chart list psi at 11. Comparing T34s to German tanks and CM gameplay I am thinking Panther A is closest. Tigers have the big gun, but too much armor and weight. All 3 have a slow turret, cupola, and radio. MGs and ammo loads differ. Americans had better AT weapons in Korea than in CMAK and this needs to be factored into the mix. Someone care to offer an opinion?

Thank you, I wish I knew more about Korea. I am learning though. Scary how the past repeats itself. -

Desertfox, good to see your site updated. Sequoia, My idea was to continue on after 1 August, with the Allies holding on to the North. Maybe Scotland or further south as a MLR. Then Nov 1940, Roosevelt loses the election and the USA joins the war. Unprepared, they can only give troops and minimal armor. This way you could have lots of different Allied composite groups, winter battles etc. against early Axis. But maybe it is too much. -
Mikeyd's Dusty Soviet ZIS 76 gun for CMBB works just fine in CMAK for the captured 76. It adds a nice tire tread to your artillery tires.

July 1940 - Panzers gone Weald

I can't seem to find any notes. At the Axis forum thread is a quote from a book that includes 'on 16July 1940 Hitler signed the order for invasion ' I paraphased here, you can read the quote at the forum. Basically England would not surrender and Hitler wanted to invade. -

Andreas is on holiday, so he may not reply. As I recall, since this is fictional, the idea is that after France in May and Dunkirk, July was the time to invade. I could be wrong though. -
Schrullenhaft Thanks for the advice and the link. I have an early version, but will have to check the number on the board. I did'nt have any problem with generic PC133 ram or the Radeon. The FX5500 above is only $68 at Newegg. If it will work with my mb, give me some improvement, give me fog, and work for CMx2 in my next build, that is what I am looking for. If it won't work I will just wait until I build. The Radeon works fine, just no fog.

Hulldown lightweight. 25id, Masan, 9/50 M-24 Chaffee Light Tanks wait for T34/85 assault At the start of the Korean War, the 4 divisions in Japan on occupation duty mostly had the Chaffee light tank. This lightly gunned and armored unit was no match for the T34, and was very vulnerable to the 76mm NK artillery. On one of the very first actions, August 11, three M-24s of 78th Tank Battalion were quickly destroyed by the NK infantry and artillery. http://www.rt66.com/~korteng/SmallArms/

Thank you again. My main issue is fog, even though few designers use it. I also wanted to plan ahead for my next build. This computer will replace my wife's PIII 1.0 and I will put the Radeon 7000 64mb ddr back in.

"if that dont work, ill give you my work email. or, you could come...." must be a north american thing to not use caps and not use ' in contractions and "if that doesnt work" would be better for an english teacher. but what do i know, im an american. edit: congratulations, i just finished 32 years, first timer.
