  1. jason i think you are correct, i can see some of what cm does as a tradeoff for gameplay. i hate having a squad next to a wall or armor, and watch them crawl uphill into the line of fire to get to some brush for cover. walls and vehicles should block bullets but not bushes. marlow, some spww2 players refuse to play spwaw and vice versa, cc guys wont give up hope and bash every new rts that comes out (like md and eysa comment) etc. all i meant was some people will complain about the next gen, and continue to beg for an improved cm, no matter how good it is.

  6. seems to be a lot of newbies asking questions all over the cm forum. mods, scenario making, looking for tutorial sites, how do i.... bfc, how about a sticky?
  7. welcome back, i uploaded some of yours from the cdv se disc. other people have too. there was a crash last year and all was lost. if you could upload your mods under your name, we could delete the duplicates under our names.
  8. i suspect that this is it. the next gen wont hold the same audience. we will keep playing these three games. some examples close combat steel panthers talonsoft campaign series etc people who play these, just keep on playing and improving, hoping the next incarnation is just around the bend. spwaw fans are still fighting over 7.1 vs 8.1, h2h, and now 8.2 is coming. on a worldwide scale, a game has to play on lesser equipment. cmx2 may make some of us determined to improve on cm

  11. another idea at the proving grounds, by mad russian iirc, was play battle 1 followed by 2a or 2b etc depending on your victory level in 1. can even be on different maps or a portion of a map.
  12. yes, and multiple installs too. all at the same time. the main screen will show all your installs, then you pick the one to mod. you can install the same mod (if compatible) on all your installs. amazing tool.

  15. as in your cmak post, you need to explore www.cmmods.com for cmbb goto www.cmoutpost.net and look at what was. some links are dead. here at the top of the page on the right click resources, and bb weblinks. www.combatmission.com we call cmhq, lots of stuff and cmmos 4.03

  17. plan 2 if you really only want the pacific mod. go to cmmods, go to mod managers, get McMMM and install. go to cmbo mods and dl all the pacific mods. (sound mods you are on your own) use McMMM to load the cmmod mods, it will create new zip files without the cmmos in them. (you will still have the cmmos zips for future use.) dont forget the pacific scenario pack and unzip into your scenario folder. with cmmos you get a picture preview of what you are going to install. with mcmmm you need to pay more attention to the bmp numbers and file names. example usmc uniforms in greygreen or tan camo use the same bmp numbers. you cant have both at the same time.   18. welcome to cm. many spwaw players are here. first go to www.cmmods.com you have to register, no big deal. then go to cmbo mods, search by designer, miket, all, other, and download cmmos 4.05 and the cmbo rulesets. you must follow the instructions for installing cmmos and the rulesets. try it out with your cmbo. once you have it working, go to newest mods and download all the pacific mods. mike changed the designer from miket to cmmos when he started uploading all the mods. if you need more help, just ask here.
