Even using your math, 400 sq.m vs 64 sq. m = 6.25 better, at best.
I thought they subdivided an action spot even further to about 1m by 1m. But you're all arguing besides the point.
-
400 times better? That may be a bit exaggerated, but for sure you could target "anywhere".
-
CMx1 only gave you the impression you could target every inch of a building or a patch of dirt, in reality you were targeting a 20m by 20m square. In that regard CMSF is well 400 times better.

Not in my experience. If you want to pop smoke where you are, you just select pop smoke. If you want to pop smoke and the end of the selected waypoint, highlight it and select pop smoke. Unless there is a bug, this how it works.
-
The face command cancels the smoke command. You can have units pop smoke at any waypoint. You just need to highlight the desired waypoint and then select pop smoke.

Oh my, that was a bloody one . I did not look at the designer's notes and just went straight in. I think I lost about 50 - 60 odd men, I must admit I blundered quite a few times.
This scenario as well as some that came with module, made me realize just how brittle US tanks can be. Especially with me leading them.
Very enjoyable!
I have one request, could you make/recommend some infantry oriented battles? I itch to see the new TacAI in action.
-
Use the face command first. Hopefully one day, they will implement smoke as a target order.

I don't get Korean humor.
Just another thing to add to your list of things you don't get, heh.

So, what does POP stand for?

I pity you Goobernationals, your lack of culture.
I still prefer to karate chop my tomatoes.

What the hell are Ginsu knives? And why would one be interested in buying one?
-
The ones that bug me the most are some new LOS issues and the improvised nature of the pathfinding of vehicles. Hopefully this will be sorted out for 1.11
-
The 1.10 patch is supposed to be released a week or so after the module. IMO it brings A LOT of improvements, although some quirky bugs still remain.
-
It's been there since day one . Quite subtle, I only found out about it via this forum.

The file is too big, I uploaded it here. Let me know if it works.

Hi,
I get this crash after finishing the 4th mission in the semper fi campaign when I press the "end" button when the game finishes. There is no specific error message, only a generic one. I have a save game available.

Three weeks in to unemployment and I now almost have a resume.

Damn T-90s, first time I ever had red tanks spotting my Abrams before I knew they were there.
-
You should have pre-ordered....what's more important...your final exams or the Marines?
No stinkin' exams for me anymore . Besides they wouldn't let you pre-order download only. You can expect a setup soon...
-
Yes, I know that. The problem is, in a couple of hours is not now
-
What can't the regulars download it yet? What won't you take my money???

Actually they are trying a new methode. They are going to print the code on a big PDF file and you will have to type it in. Kind of like those old Basic programs you used to get in computer magazines. Kind of a pain in the ass but it lets the end user feel more like part of the team.
Copy + paste

Maybe I am crazy, but when I bought the game the exe worked.
Look we all know that the first version of CMSF isn't exactly what it was supposed to be. We are all anxious to see how far the patch will bring the game.

Ah ok, I was wrong. Still rather play with the new system than the old one. But every improvement is welcome
