Does it make a difference to the chance of being spotted in-game if say a squad walks on top of a hill and at the foot of the hill? What if there are trees at the top of the hill, behind the squad?

One of the interesting things I've seen is, one of my soldier was WIA near one of my tanks, when said tank got hit. The fragments of the shell flew everywhere and my WIA soldier turned to KIA!

I also notice that the savegames are HUGE. 40Mb!!

Hi,
I'm playing the marines campaign, and lately I keep getting this error message in the mission after "Objective Pooh".
NVOpenGLPbuffer: CM: Shock Force.exe - Fatal Application Exit
Out of Memory
It's really annoying because it's means I have to save every two turn. And after about 10 turns I get this error. Obviously it has something to do with memory, but what I find strange is that I could get through "Objective Pooh", without encountering this.
Any ideas?

I think he wants the javelin team to hide immediately after firing the missile. Instead of reloading it before getting their heads down. And I don't think this is possible.

I remember this scenario. I thought it had more to do with the designer forgetting to place a door to that building, not the pathfinding algorithm. Could be wrong though.

I rechecked the scenario, and of course Mark is right. The icons are supposed to be there. But I'm pretty sure this isn't.
This is taken from the first seconds of the PBEM turn (Elite).

It dawns on me: Blues for Allah...it's not a bug for Blue to "see" Red. They have been given "Full Intell" for this scen. If that's what you are seeing it's no bug.
I played this scenario in single player and I definitely didn't have full intell, because I remember being ambushed badly. So there is an inconsistency at least. Or I might be really wrong.
And the "flashing" is really weird. I can *see* all the units on the map, as if I'm playing recruit level during the first few seconds.

Do you have any mods installed? That caused problems for some people.

Nidan1, you're not making any sense as usual.

I just started a new PBEM game and at the first turn I can see all the enemy positions at the start of the game and then the turn into "?". I have the savegame.

You can DL the additional 'Red Cross'-set update from my site http://www.unitedwargamers.net. Look in the CM-forum. The Redcross-set is now included in the full version, too!

Actually I have used it more now, and I think it would be better if you made the background green a bit darker. My poor eyes are having a hard time telling the lightly wounded and the fit soldiers apart.

I think the difference is due to the fact that every US soldier is equipped with scoped weapon, which makes a whole lot of difference. It'd be nice if some of the better Syrians troops also have access to better optics.
