  1. Nice comments Bill, I also really had fun with it. Great job Sea Monkey. Hard to believe we can beat the AI with so much going for the Axis. You will have to give the Axis a little extra help in your new version.
  2. Good fun seamonkey. My first attempt went down to defeat. I was much too aggressive even attempting to take Turkey. My second time is much better. Playing slower and much less agressive. Good news is I have retaken the UK. But Ireland still holds out and is a pain. Will have to spend time and MPP's to retake it. Also good news in North Africa as I have taken Tobruk. But its June of 1943 and may run out of time. Russia holds Leningrad - Moscow down to Karkov and the southern river line. Holding ok in Russia but not yet ready for the offensive. Like I said, lots of funa and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys SC. [ February 04, 2005, 09:18 PM: Message edited by: Curry ]
  3. Just took a quick 3 minute look at it tonight. Oh, Yea! It will be a tough nut to crack even for the AI. hehehe. May take a bit but will have to do it for sure.
  4. Thanks and I will give it a go and see what I can do.
  5. Seamonkey, would love to take a look at this. Send me the file if you find time. Thanks. PS - do you think it would work against a human as well or just best for the AI?
  6. Haaaaaave to admit, the place is dead. Miss Rambo.
  7. Here and gone, waiting for that late Christmas prestent from H.C. still...
  8. Always glad for you, JJ, to steal my thread. However, not sure that Canada would surrender to the Axis if the UK fell. Just very hesitant to ever admit that. Dont think it would happen nor would I think FDR would allow it to happen without at least some agreement that the Axis would stay away and dont see FDR ever trusting the Axis for such an agreement. Not only that but I think that the King and very likely even Churchhill and a UK government in exile would have ended up in Canada. Would like to hear from some Candians on that one. We will never know.
  9. You have hijacked my thread. Just kidding, really have enjoyed it. This has turned into a good thread (for a somewhat nice change around here).
  10. On the question of a port, yes a port is vital to supplying your units. And also very very important is to have a HQ unit. Early on in learning the game learn how important HQ units are. I am not sure about your first question as to what you meant.
  11. Anyone do a AAR with this Mod yet. Sure looks interesting and will have to give it a go soon. When I find some time that is.
  12. Great discussion! But I still want those Canadian MPP points going to the the war cause. In the current game Canada can't even build a corps to defend Canada. (After the UK falls) She gets the points but cant even use them to defend herself. The USA has to defend Canada even though Canada has her own MPP points.
  13. Terif, thanks. I took a quick look. The Allies look much stronger to start the game. I assume there is no bid for the allies.
  14. Hey Friendly Fire - posting this here so you might notice, You put a post in the above leageu folder, said, that you have been player the 39 mod 2 now. Where did you get it? Would like to try it.
  15. In SCI when England falls the Candian MPP's go kind of into a limbo. I am in a game currently where England (UK) falls. But the USSR and the USA are at war quickly with the Axis. Canada is still allied. But her MPP goes into a sort of limbo hold that the US cannot use. In reality I am sure that if the NAZI's took over the UK Canada would stand with the USA as they did in WWII with the UK. And I think I have mentioned this before, no UK ships stay free and head to the US or Canada. Ha. I think the Royal Navy would have never given up. For sure a better percentage of staying in the fight then the French who are factored into the game. Jersey can help me, but I believe the UK had plans to send the Royal family to Canada if the Nazi's did invade England when all seemed so dark.
  16. Is Tangier a port in SC II. I hope it will be. It would help the allies if it were and I also think it would be more historical. Hope it is.
  17. As always Terif has the answer. I would have just said, land first, air second. But Yoda has the much better fuller answer.
  18. Wacthmeither - I agree and did the same thing with the same outcome. But if was a lot of fun..

  20. When the demo comes out we will know we are close. Hope at least April for that.
  21. Wasn't it last April that battlefront came out with an announcement of SCII. It's already January, April 2005 is not that far off. That would be one year from the announcement. One has to believe that they have to be behind schedule. Maybe even way behing but they would never admit it. Get to work Hubert! Stop reading this board and crank out those computer codes! LOL One would think Hubert will get a lot of work done now, no hockey in Canada in January and Feburary, what else is there to do in the Great White North with no NHL hockey???? LOL (Just a joke to all my Canadian fans) Maybe we should have a pool of when they will announce it will come out. My guess is starting to look like April, which means summer 2005. Anyone else want to guess.??
  22. Very interesting. I also like alternative history and this is interesting. I took a very quick look and between humans its not a fair fight, but with the AI it looks like it could be a lot of fun.
