Ah Mike_the_Awol_Squire, I realize that it is not yet tomorrow, but the joy in my heart will allow this exception. Heed the words of the goodly Dave H, for sentiment of this sort is surely the work of John Barleycorn. And the path you have chosen to follow will certainly turn your Saturdays into Wednesdays. I got your turn, but beng wistful *hic*, I am unable to respond to it. oops

As there are no rules in The Cheery Waffle Thread, one can post wistfully if that is one's choice: SO BE IT Well what about the Cheery Waffle Thread? During a recent medical illness that beset my family I had the good fortune of getting to know Dave H and Axe. Their cheerful attitude and open-hearted friendship were offered and gratefully accepted. It did much to brighten the long days. These two will always hold a very high place in my heart and esteem. This Thread is vibrant and alive, the wit is sharp and pointed. There are no slackers here! Goodale in all his glory keeps the timid away with his bombast and unique style. I am an older guy who remembers a time like this in my life when I was in college. Life was fresh and exciting, the people I met were fascinating and intelligent. It was a good time to be alive. This Thread and this Forum are the nearest thing to recapturing that feeling I have ever experienced, and I wish to personally thank all of you for the honor of your company. Now tomorrow maggots we will resume normal posting techniques

Ah a grand idea, as we await the Bard Here's a new one for ya: Untitled The night was cold, the fire was low, the ache was burning warm The emptiness, the hollowness, a spirit without form And yet inside, a long dead heart, a plea for help arose To know the way, to feel the joy, without a faker's pose The troubled soul, maintained it's goal, to spread it's hurt around When laughter came, he screamed with rage, until there was no sound A heartfelt song, too much to bear, was twisted beyond belief A smiling face, an inner glow, he took as if a thief And now he's back, to spin his tale, of contempt for those who know, Of friends and trust, and inner peace, and things that do not show So look inside, and see yourself, reflected in your glare The answer's not, outside yourself. look inward with your stare

Now Thats a Thread Title! It gives me pause for reflection on this Thread of Threads. To think that one can skip town for a week, a month, a year, and come back to this board and find old friends and new friends still keeping up the good works. To return to the moans and groans of faux annoyance and pick up as if there were no gap in time. This Thread is endless and timeless, it is like an old friend that will always be there. To the Olde Ones who started this and the countless ones who came after and renewed and continued this Thread Thanks

Axe I don't remember much about my wedding, it was a long time ago (everything was in black & white then). But the one thing that I will never forget was when the music started to play Here Comes the Bride and my wife stepped through the door in her wedding finery, I almost lost it. I'll never forget that moment. And no, there was no alcohol until after the ceremony. [ September 09, 2003, 05:02 PM: Message edited by: Jim Boggs ]

You know nothing of pain. Do you even understand what it's like to be an Eagles fan? You don't have an inkling. But then again, I think I'm arguing with a rock here. Since you barely have enough sentience to comprehend these words, I won't delve too deeply into the transcendence of spirt that each Eagles fan goes through while still a toddler. These thoughts would be lost on you. Do you matter? No! Why then am I responding to you? It's because of a weakness that I honestly confess. I tend to listen to the dimwitted masses and sometimes respond. Wipe the drool off your keyboard and find something more constructive to do with your life. </font>

Nero's Cat, your problem is that you have challenged the wrong person. Here is a tip for you...Challenge the SSN called Mouse. You could try setting out some mousetraps baited with cheese....that should work. Here's a bowl of milk and some catnip for you. You better get your own litter box though....I doubt that Kitty will want to share hers with you. Persephone </font>

I remember that one. The first CMBB game I played (as Russian). I thought I was a GOD. This game is a piece of cake. heh heh. Then tried it as German with similar results to what you experienced. Scared me off of tank combat for quite some time. By the way gaffertape: Great Thread! -

Sitrep Russian KV sitting on reverse slope, I have two Mark IV F2's. One is coming from the left around a patch of trees, the other is on the opposite side of the ridge from the KV. Losing a PZ-III has given me the KV's location. Timing it so the F2 on the left will gain first sight to capture the KV's attention, the other F2 crests the ridge and is presented with a perfect flank shot, while the KV disposes of the other F2. So what happens? The feckin F2 commander starts popping smoke and reversing faster than a cat in a room full of rockin chairs, without even taking a shot!!!! AARRGGHH!!! I need a cookie!!!!! -

Following a disapponting 0 for 3 (Gators, Swedes, and French), the ever persistent one steps up and launches a grand slam in Philly. Today's word is Jurevicius as in: Jurevicius is unfeckin believable!!!!! Oh, and nice Thread Title there Axe, but MGD seems to have gone AWOL (not that it is a bad thing). Ahhhhh....let the euphoria of victory flow throughout the Maggot Kingdom. Only a post from the goodly YK2 could top this!!
