  10. The Battle for SCHQ - Comrade Trapp (Allies) vs Kuniworth (Axis) Bid 10 (1:10). Kuniworth, in an attempt to get me to restart SCHQ, has made me an offer I can't refuse. The stakes are high.... If I win, it will count as our Winter Storm match (I lost the earlier one against him and this is my chance to recover). If Kuni wins, I will have to restart SCHQ no later then Tuesday (12-30-03). I will be copy and pasting Kuniworth's entries using ICQ since he's unable to post on Battlefront (**coughs** MOON). This will be a fight to the death, no surrendering under any circumstance. 11. Comrade Trapp (Allies) concedes to Nimitz (Axis), bid 150 (1:10). Nimitz used the "nothing but air" strategy. I couldn't hold in Southern Russia and had nothing to counter his mass airfleets in the west. I know the mistakes I made and do not intend on letting them happen again. Comrade Trapp
  12. I have no problem with that, fighting for air superiority (Battle of Britain for your example) is one thing. But its when someone uses nothing but airfleets to achieve a breakthroughs that pisses me off. Comrade Trapp [ December 26, 2003, 11:57 PM: Message edited by: Comrade Trapp ]
  13. I know this question has been asked before but I'm going to ask it again. In your opinion, is the "build nothing but airfleets" strategy an acceptable tactic? To me, playing a game with one side using that strategy is no fun, it gets boring real quick. I mean, if there was some risk to it then thats one thing, but wheres the risk in doing nothing but building airfleets? How do you defend against mass airfleets in Russia? It's kinda disheartning when the Axis brush aside an entrenched HQ supported AT +1 army using nothing but airpower. If you want to use massive airpower, then at least using something like Rambo's RACK strategy where theres risk involved. Personally, I'm tired of seeing the "build nothing but airfleets" tactic, especially when its used during a tourny game. Its a ****y way to win. Does anyone else feel the same way or is it just me. 14. E-mail address and ICQ ID in sig. Comrade Trapp
  15. About 6 months ago that was a big thing, I haven't really seen it happen in the past few months, not really anything new. There are other variations to that tactic that include landing corps into unoccupied Italian cities upon declaring war on Italy. Do a search, I know there were quite a few discussions about this gambit in that past. Comrade Trapp
