  1. Thanks for this post, i was also wondering about this since i had a HQ unit with no friends
  2. i had the same problem it won't update
  3. I agree but i thought maybe wihh a game their wouldn't be an auto surrender
  4. I was wondering if anyone uses the link in the game for internet games?
  5. A boring post but I am playing the the adv 3rd reich mod and with a start of 1941, captured moscow in 42 but it looks like it will be a long battle ahead and a stalemate most likely. I was wondering, I had Italy protected fairly well but then they surrendered without rome being taken, it was summer of 43, is this normal in the game?
  6. do they have any pictures of Stalingrad? nice photos
  7. hi, If you get the game then you can download the 3rd reich mods and play the game with a Europe only feel
  8. I have the three volumes and completed the first one and about mid way through the second volume. Lots of detail about units and much of the info (for me) not really necessary. However, I enjoy all books on this battle so I purchased them. Federowicz publishing has good books if you want specialized accounts and quality maps etc.
  9. I was wondering if in the future the player say for the axis could allocate the computer to control Japan? otherwise, nice game and enjoying playing against the computer since I stink either way, I still can't beat the computer
  10. thanks hubert, its all working well now, i just had to make sure my email program was being run as admin
  11. thanks moon, i was wondering if in the future you could allow the program to let the user search anywhere for a turn instead of the specific folder, thanks for your help
  12. hey guys, I had this problem once before and I remembered that I posted once before. I found the answer, I made sure my Thunderbird email program was being run as an administrator. However, does anyone have a better way for the saving of turns?
  13. Ok, I need some assistance with saving a pbem turn. When I have the turn from my opponent I like to save the turn either into the download section of windows 7 or like it looks in this game I have to save it into the Global Conflict/Multiplayer/email folder. However, if I try the latter method it won't allow me to save the turn into that folder. A box comes up saying I don't have permission. It will just take too long to do the drop and drag thing to play email games. I am running Global Conflict as a Administrator. The only place Global looks for the file is in the email folder. Is there no way to allow you to look through the entire Windows structure? To me it doesn't seem like it Could you provide me with an answer about the best method to save turns and place them in the correct folder? Thanks for your help
  14. I don't think the game is capable of this but any way to allow the AI to control different countries? I was thinking of the AI controlling Japan. Nice game
  15. I also like the way the German Cross disappears after you move the unit. One thing, in snow conditions hard to see where the limit of movement is. looks nice, reminds me of clash of steel by SSI
  16. Hi Pz, I just installed the 1939 mod and I like it, I really just want to play the Euro component and this is nice, I guess I can just play the mod 1939 right until the end, i'll have to check out the other ones but it looks like this game has a lot of room for mods and even larger maps for specific battles. Just a suggestion for installing the mod is to make sure your an admin and that you drop and drag the file into the campaign folder, it wouldnt extraxt directly
  17. Oh, Thanks thats just the starting points thanks for the clarification another brain lock moment
  18. I notice in the Repository that this game has like 4-5 different versions from a 1939 download a 1940 download and so on. I am wondeing if I am missing something, I thought it was just one large mod for a download? Thanks and looks good could someone explain?
  19. just downloaded and played a turn, looks nice and at least someone has a new game out, getting tired of playing TOAW3
  20. Geofighter said it perfectly, who the heck wants to play a game and it feels like "WORK"? SC1, SC2 and Global are fine games that allow you to play asap and not worry about it being a speed test like rts games
  21. He does have a point and just like I like to play TOAW3 and the cmbb games. I like the games and i would like to see a component in the game where you could find a opponent very easily like you can on Steam and Xfire. The new Battlefield Bad Company will have this. All the games are fine, I still like cmbb and not really getting into the kursk game , i like the WEGO system
  22. Sorry guys about not being to specific but I thought the game got a decent rank considering that a lot of players I know never heard of the battlefront website or the games. I have told a number of ppl about it
  23. I was reading PC Gamer Mag and they listed CMBO in the Top 100 as number 53.
