hi cantona, i am downloading this map, do I just place the map into the campaign section?

I have had the Global Conflict when it came out and didn't really touch it until I went back to the forums and noticed this mod. To tell you the truth, I always wanted to play the boardgame Advanced Third Reich but never had anyone close by to try it and I also didn't have the game. Then, technology came along and the computer wargame was developed. One of the best inventions of all-time. Now, I can play against the computer. I play at the beginner level and I am still having trouble knocking out the USSR with the 1941 scenario start. However, in the middle of a game now - captured Moscow, outside Leningrad and a few hexes from Stalingrad. However, have captured all of North Afrika east of Tunisia and all of Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq etc. Turkey still neutral and just declared war on Iran and I'm moving north with Italian and German units. I then plan on hitting the Caucasus and oil fields. I have also contained the USA in western North Afrika and will mop up the USA in North Afrika in a month or 2. If time doesn't run out I might try to land in London. I never tried this strategy to this point before and I of course wanted to knock out the USSR but unable to do that when I play the game. How do you guys knock out the USSR so easily? Tips appreciated

Been playing now and on August 1941. I have Paris on 3 sides and have captured Oslo but the gov't moved North. I think the French are a little powerful. They also started attacking me below the Maginot Line right from the start. I could be wrong but maybe to many French Units plus british on the mainland. Perhaps, they just had less experience and points? Just a thought

I downloaded the 3.5 but when I place in the campaign folder and then start the game it says version 3.4? I did it twice

Hi Cantona, FYI, not a big deal but when placing the 3.5 into the campaign section of the game all is fine. However, when starting the game while looking for the campaign it still says 3.4 as the version number. This is what happened in my game

I really enjoy this mod and have just completed a game starting in 1942. I was able to conquer a great deal of land but I didn't knock out any of the powers. It was interesting that Turkey declared war on me and then I blasted through Istanbul-Ankara and actually sent one unit to Lebanon before the game ended. At the same time I had 2 units at Cairo and one armor unit was blasting away at Jerusalem. Captured the Caucasus and in 43-44 I sent a unit around the Caspian to capture the undefended oil well. I held of the USA and Brits near Rome but I did lose all my faithful Italian units. Luckily, I had a strong Navy and beat back the Allied landing in Europe. I also had Leningrad, Moscow, and Stalingrad Question - Can you make the mod/game last longer than Dec 1945? I would love to keep playing and just keep going?

I stopped my subscription to pc gamer, all they talk about is fantasy games

maybe I could try to do it, never tried it before, what do you need to make this happen, just some tips from you guys. I would like to develop a crimea battle

Hi Cantona, Been playing for a little bit and right now I am in the late part of 1939 and moving my units westward. I noticed that the purchasing of units is quite high and it takes a little getting used to. I like all the extra decisions being made and offered. I was wondering, any suggestions on playing this mod as far as strategies go? Also, what are the small circles that contain the word garrison in them? Is that for the German player to keep units in them after Poland is defeated?

Has anyone else tried this? I clicked on the convoy map and left clicked on the USA button and it came up. It was at beginner level and playing as axis with no messing around with options

I just loaded the game up and I am going t play against the AI. Loos very nice, by the way, looks like the gameplay is a little different than the other mods, i was wondering do you have any tips? I had the french attack in the west right off the first turn!! Smart move

Any mods out there for strategic command 2 against the AI?

Hello again, I was wondering, ever a possibility to let the game keep playing until the entire world is conquered? I had my game ended in dec 45 but it was getting interesting

I am playing the game at a decent clip. It was interesting, I placed a Battleship along the Normandy Coast and the computer must have sent 6-10 transports I think in one turn near my Battleship and Uboats and they were all sunk by the Battleship. I am playing the adv reich 41 scenario. I also was able to capture Maikop and Baku near the Caspian Sea. However, the soviets are coming down to get me. I noticed the morale and readiness levels of the Soviets decreased once I captured this. I also still have Leningrad, Moscow and had Stalingrad but the Soviets moved the Capital further eastward. I still am unable to capture Moscow in 41 and not sure of what I am doing wrong. I have a lot of units in the Alps right now and I am counterattacking the USA and crushing them. How come no ability to improve tanks? and anti-tank in the research area? Is this what happens when you capture all spots in the Caucasus?

Hi Pzgndr, I like this mod very much. I am actually playing the beginner level since I have a brain lock on playing this game. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about the Asian Theatre. I had a bunch of units on the mainland and the Allies landed on Sicily and then wanted to go up the boot. The problem with the Soviets was they kept moving their capital to another city. By the way, any reason why the infantry and tanks research option is in red? I was unable to pursue upgrades in this area? Thanks

Hi, I am almost finishing up the adv reich 1941 scenario and its 1945 and I did capture leningrad, moscow, and stalingrad but I did this in 42 and 43. I am holding my own and hopefully the allies wont push to berlin. I was wondering, does Italy always surrender in the game? I was playing and they suddenly left the field! Nice mod

Thanks for the reply, yeah, sometimes I play a turn go downstairs and do a few things and it does this. I also have Windows 7 and then I start up the game and go to the autosave feature. Iwas thinking, do you think it could be due to a screensaver function? I was thinking that it happens when the screensaver kicks on? do you ever play pbem? I never did with this game

Nice mod and I played today with a start of march 1941 and didnt get to moscow, i stink cant seem to finish it off
