  1. I dont know of a way to import troops. Atleast not like in importing maps. U can only BUY troops in the unit editor, or prebuy and place them on the map u are going to import later. Ahyes, thats the whole importing thing then... U can also on that to import map PLACE those units in the setup u want them in and they will remain on that place for when the battle starts. (and -on map- put to reinforcements1 or 2 and so on u can even let prebought units come in at a later date in the battle. (underneath u can choose a turn number of arrival....these arriving troops will be shown on the map as a white sign at the edge, u should place that white sign at the prechozen place u want them to enter the map) [ March 28, 2004, 07:00 AM: Message edited by: theike ]
  2. ill be patient then;) The house is also pretty well done. This look it has makes it seem more firm like a real house, i like it. Im really not that fond of all the hi-res terrain mods, they only look like they should at a real nearby view, the further away u go the more they turn into a whitish-reflecting-wobble-land (some, due to all the many details they mostly have) Like u do it, with littler details and more to its surroundings adjusted overall look is way better. Im really looking forward to all this. [ March 27, 2004, 11:36 AM: Message edited by: theike ]
  3. Is that water also a new mod? I really like it. If its not a mod for Störfang itself? whose is it? (and where to get?) snif, snif, snif; cant we folks get that terrain beforehand? this wait is so harsh;) btw: Now THATS a GOOD map !!
  4. I didnt really know that, Manstein, but its good to know. I will try to remember that for any more maps i make. Thank u for the knowledge.
  5. Im also very impressed. The looks of the terrain are so a step forward, extremely nice looking grass and rocks. Keep us informed please;)
  6. I think i will now make 10, more rural then farmland maps, without towns in it. Ive made so many maps with towns and citys lately. Some rugged rural maps with heavy terrain here and there, yeah sounds good. 'sa new challenge;)
  7. Thats true indeed i think, Sergei. I mostly make large maps like these and afterwards trim them down to a more playable size. Some maps are hard to trim down to a smaller size and still keep it interesting, but then again from others i could make maybe 3 smaller battle maps. (Lets say one in city parameters, one around a approach and a rural type one.) atm i like really small maps alot, im playing one with my brother thats not more then 400x400. Thats why i keep saying these maps can be used for edit as anyone likes; these larger maps are often just a starting point for me. Letting a battle take place on them ask for a new look into them, after putting setupzones on one might get a whole new idea of the map and need to change stuff a bit..... some bush here, 200meters off there and so on..................... So Bluefish; before u even take a preview of the map consider trimming them down a bit, its very easy in the scenario editor. hmm, Rokossovski u flatter me;) I would be most interested to see the end result of your meta-campaign. Really! If your done with it, could u send me a copy? That would be so nice.
  8. For the info: http://cmmods.com/web/CMBBMods.nsf/1b148631ec5fb57e85256c5f005fd053/40b66b672057254a85256e6200537e99!OpenDocument Hope the url works. Im not that handy with that. Aha, it does... A new mappack at cmmods database. And for the pic: http://cmmods.com/web/CMBBMods.nsf/1b148631ec5fb57e85256c5f005fd053/40b66b672057254a85256e6200537e99!OpenDocument&TableRow=2.1 [ March 25, 2004, 10:23 AM: Message edited by: theike ]
  9. hello. I have posted a map called, bare knockels on the scenario depot maps section for cmbb, and on the cmmods database mapssection: http://www.cmmods.com/web/CMMaps.nsf I found this one to be worthy enough to post, since i think it could provide a good human versus human game. Please go check it out;)
  10. No, no tools. The only tools i use are for the maps done after real places, like the last one of those; Warsaw. Then i use a map a picture whatever i can get my hands on. But most of the maps are just made up as i go along. No tools needed there. (and thats just why i make them: its like drawing to me...'sfun)
  11. http://www.cmmods.com/web/CMMaps.nsf U must mean that good old mapssection of the cmmods database. Its still there but there is no direct link anymore from the main page. Dont think anybody ever goes there anymore, havent been any downloads. btw, im doing mappacks now instead of posting there because i couldnt upload cmf/operationmaps on the mapssection. So now there are just the packages on the general page. (but its all the same)
  12. LOL... but i keep my downloaded maps in the scenario folder, have some folders there for to play scenarios and for usable maps, then when i want to start a quickbattle i dont have to look through 100 maps but open those few ones i know to be good. What was that filing thing u mentioned? A way to put them under hight largeness time of year and such? How would that work, i might try it for my next upload...
  13. ...where there many of my maps used for biltongs campain? When i downloaded the mappacks for that i think i only found one map of mine really (in a few versions) Might it be i missed u few? If u know where i could find them? i would love to take a look. oh and thanks ofcourse [ February 13, 2004, 07:52 AM: Message edited by: theike ]
  14. Yeah, sure u can. Its all free for use, change or whatever. There are 2 more packs of my maps on cmmods database. im thinking of making one pack of all the maps i did for cmbb, over a 100, and with changes to the maps included over 200 i think...just to kind of finish that of for me. but, back to your question; just go ahead, u guys dont have to be so modest and ask everytime;) the zip is done in two folder/maps one for cme one for cmf, not? the cmf or say operation maps are in that cmf map. 15. I posted a new mappack on the cmmods database today. Anyone interested can go take a look. greets.
  16. If there are topo maps or pics for it id love to give it a try, Zim. If u could hint me to those or send me something, im in for it. hey, Eichenbaum, mede Venlonaar;) Thing with the operation Störfang is that the maps u want to use for them try to do every little detail as it where the real thing. Witch for the operation is just ideal but leaves nearly nothing for the maker of such map to give it a swing. If u know what i mean. Since it IS al so real most parts u play on will as map be in one terrain feature (like scattered trees on gentle slopes for a whole map) As a game that could be fine, but going into every detail of the sloped terrain on a mono-map (?) like that will be painfully hard work and very reproductive, just. ala, je begrijpt het wel waarschijnlijk. MAAR; wie weet... Maybe it could be a nice project to work on at times. How would you go to work if i presented myself?
  17. hi guys. I just thought id mention im slowly working my way up to a new mappack. I have about 15 new maps now. Most of them have a key city feature involved, since thats just what im into atm. (with the large bridges as city walls and things like that i had to try) Since u guys seem to use them?; anything u might like to be done for a map, or on a map? i might look into it for u.
  18. check The Proving Grounds. Its a site to opponent find someone. Link in my sig if im not mistaking
  19. Nice work. I think the top one stands out alot to the others.
  20. i myself would unzip into my scenario folder...to first take a look at the maps, and setup the game. Some unzip into the quickbattle folder. U could do that, but operations maps cant be played as quickbattle i believe. U will have to start those up via the scenario editor and then move them to your saved games folder. There shouldnt be a problem with the battle -cme- maps though.
  21. I have been enjoying these small battles very much. Thank u, and all those that helped u. And, yes: please do continue on it in cmak. cheers.
  22. I like your mods as usual;) But these Soviet ones are not only very likeable, they are also very refreshing. They look great.
  23. Its a real name of a town, yes. But its not this town. The only map of this pack based on reality is the O.Moscnyj island operation map. (Leign in the gulf of Finland) The others are all completely made up.
  24. Hello all. Its been a while. Ive just posted a mappack of 12 operation maps and 12 battle maps on the mod database. A while ago some asked me for some maps in operation settings, and i said i would do some....its taken a while, i know, but here are some now. So if you need some maps to create your own games on; please feel free to go grab them and use them in any witch way u want. greets. oh ps: not at the link underneath but on the regular mod page. http://www.cmmods.com/ [ November 07, 2003, 10:20 AM: Message edited by: theike ]
