  1. I like the Shadow of the hill-series, Pete, but I'm still not convinced it is not possible to make interesting scenarios of Hill 112 or Villers-Bocage. And even so, I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy them. I don't care much for balanced battles, I want historical correct ones. Perhaps I'm a minority, but I think it is reasonable to ask for historical maps of the main battlefields.
  2. Point taken. But I'm not talking about perfect maps, just a basic set of the main battlefields. Hill 112 for instance. What is a Normandy game without Hill 112? Look at the Close Combat series. Lots of gorgeous maps and great scenarios.
  3. First of all I would like to say that I'm grateful to each and everyone of you that made a contribution to this game, be it with mods, maps or scenarios. However I can't help feeling regret about the fact that some essential historical maps are missing, like Hill 112 for instance. For me maps of important battlefields are even more important than scenarios. Perhaps in future releases more priority can be given to maps, instead of scenarios and campaigns. I'm sure a certain amount of maps included in the release will result in more third-party made scenarios and campaigns. I know it is a lot of work, but still.
  4. Well, I wouldn't be too shure of that either if I were you.
  5. Frank, can you perhaps share those reports? I'm always extremely interested in such details.
  6. Ha! Bootie, no, I chose to defend. The only thing I would have attacked when I would have continued the battle (which I didn't) was the German stock of 75mm Pzgr.40 projectiles. Michael, yes it does, doesn't it?
  7. This morning I decided to play a QB. I let the game itself chose a mix of forces for both sides. What I did get was a force consisting of one Pz IIIM, one Nashorn, one Flakvierling vehicle and TWELVE 75mm Pak! Seems a bit excessive. No infantry at all, apart from the ammo bearers.
  8. I think a camo pattern similar to that one was made for CMBB. Very interesting.
  9. Winkelfried told me he is busy with other things at the moment, so it might take a while. First things first.
  10. This is all very entertaining, but this thread needs screenshots. :-D
  11. Splendid job, Vein, can't thank you enough for this.
  12. Thank you very much for taking one this huge job, Vein. Much appreciated, especially the all foliage helmets!
  13. Again I would like to ask everone's attention for the next CM option; a confrontation between the western allies and the Red army in the summer of 1945. Based on the Red Gambit series of Colin Gee (http://www.redgambitseries.com/) it would be a great formula for a CM game. These books are very, very well written. Apart from that I still would like to see a CM game about the continuation of WW2 in Europe in 1946, with new German, allied and Russian vehicles and weapons. Korea? No, not my cup of tea.
  14. I've installed them, agusto, very, very nice. Thank you very much.
  15. Very impressive, Vein, please don't forget the all-foliage option for the helmets.
  16. Lol! Happened to me once too, with 'woad to ruin' by Hans Zimmer (from the movie King Arthur). Lost all my six tanks before the score was finished.
  17. Catchy indeed. Would love to have that as background music. Great drums. Makes you want to start a war or something...;-)
  18. That would really be great, Vein, thank you for that.
