True. but SS and FJ formations were integral parts of the actions taking place in that time frame. All the more reason why they should have been included in the initial release.

As you can see from this screen shot from the AAR the troops do get down in the foxholes when fire comes their way. -
Still the assault bridge sections mounted on the vehicle, whether they are functional in the game or not, will visually designate the HT as an SdkFz 251-7 pioneerpanzerwagon, and you will know that there are German engineers out there if you are playing as US. Adds a bit more realism to the game I think.

.....and true to form YOU followed. -
This looks to be a considerable task. German OOB did consist of SS and FJ units as well, you would have to wait for a subsequent MOD to get these type units. I think that scenarios in the initial release will have to stick to early hedgerow fighting as American infantry units moved off the beaches, minus all the actions of the 82nd and 101st. Its still a project that could really produce some interesting encounters. You could at least, get all the map work done.

No one needs to thank anyone. We are all "Wargamers", and together we enhance the entire genre. -

It has been my experience on these forums over the years that people will ask questions, argue over the tiniest of points, complain, and annoy. Whether or not they have "skipped over" the new incarnation of CM, they will still do these things. The purpose of these forums is to establish a place for members to exchange information, ask game related questions, have fun and add their precious two cents to whatever discussion they choose. To be frustrated by this seems a bit silly to me. -
Have you gotten one of those new Obama so-called "Green Jobs". I hear that shoveling manure has become all the rage in the Save the Planet circles. I personally, am retired, living off my entitlements now and hoping dopes like you continue to pay into the Social Security pool in order to keep my check coming regularly.

Not at all. I was just trying to illustrate how numbers and percentages can be sometimes misleading. -

In the real time mode that he was playing in, I would guess that the local mortar fire took less than two minutes to arrive on target from the point at which he initiated the call to the units (he was moving around the mouse and pausing the action as well). Good mortar teams in radio contact with and in close proximity to the front line units should not really take longer than that. -

1% of approximately 200,000 battle deaths in the US Civil War is still a fairly large sum. Those 2,000 soldiers who were either killed outright by bayonets or who died later on from the wounds would probably take umbrage with your minimization of the deadliness of bayonets.
