Well US democracy was seriously challenged with Trump administration. For some time it was the beacon of the far right crowd, we even witnessed things like a raid in the capitol. But yes, I agree the multicultural background and the origins of US will never allow hopefully for a fascist takeover . I think fascism has more to do with a social illness though and not the genes of people. Unless we think germans were born to be nazis  which is absolutely not the case proved with today's Germany.

I can't understand what the russian troops are doing. Abandoning their equipment just to be used against them later. They didnt have orders to blow them up? One lowlife would at least sell them to the UKR army. These are worth millions and are invaluable, maybe even more than the material the West is sending. 

Perhaps you and @kraze might be better off staying out of that noxious swamp, or at least keeping it out of this thread.
FWIW, my Ukrainian in-laws freely admit to  Russian historical, cultural and ethnic connections, although they have no interest in Putin's (or Stalin's) version either.

Well, the invasion was the therapy, sadly. 

In Kiev, armed men shot at a car with unarmed people, saying that "there were saboteurs in it." I think a regular military man should be assigned to self-defense units in order to prevent such cases. 

Was that before or after Zelensky banned males of military age from leaving?

My honest thought is Oh God, no. I'll be the unpopular one here. The best thing Ukrainians can do for themselves at this point, frankly, is to sue for peace.
Those who are thinking about guerilla warfare, you need to ask yourself whether you are thinking harder about Saving Ukrainians or just Pinching the Russians as hard as possible.
TBF, the closest analogue I can think of is 1979, when the Chinese took a swipe at Vietnam. Did China become a pariah state?

From what I have seen, I dont sense a great desire or mobilisation to resist the russian invasion. The minister encouraged poor civilians to use Aks and molotov cocktails, this is absurd and will waste lives. I saw videos of people sheltering in the underground and they were mostly young men in miltary age scrolling their smartphones. I guess they all had the hope NATO will assist but Zelensky talked with all 27, and all seem scared to intervene. Those that are still asking NATO to intervene are also out of their minds if they think anyone sane will risk WW3 over Ukraine.
