  1. I hope you enjoy the scenario. Feedback will be greatly appreciated.
  2. New scenario for CMBO, "Trap in Carpiquet", at my site: Klapton's Combat Mission Site as well as at the Scenario Depot, The scenario is an ASL conversion of module TAC7, from French magazine "Tactiques". It features the 3rd Canadian division attacking 12th SS Panzer Division.
  3. I can give it a try, either PBEM or against the AI. Send it to klapton@navegalia.com
  4. Don't you think we already have enough with the Peng threads?
  5. July 1944, West of Caen. 3rd Canadian Division attacks a village and an airfield held by 12th SS Panzer Division. Game: CMBO Length: 30 turns Size: medium Type: Canadian attack (ASL conversion) If interested in playtesting, you can download it from Klapton's Combat Mission Site

  7. Check your ammo, and try to guess your opponent's ammo. From now on, it will be a scarce commodity.
  8. Time for a constructive, detailed and informative criticism that will help the artist to improve: ---- Great maps (or mods)! I'm very impressed! Continue doing the good work! ----
  9. To my knowledge, this what BTS said in the past about the future of CM: First, the engine rewrite Second, Mediterranean theater. Will include Italy (maybe up to 1945), North Africa, Balkans. Third, Early years of the war. Will include Poland, France, Low countries and Norway. Maybe it will include Spanish Civil war. There are no plans on revisiting the Western Front after D-Day, nor the Eastern Front with the new engine, nor a game that will include the whole war in European theatre. BTS is not interested in the Pacific war at all. Maybe I'm wrong about all of this, and maybe people at BTS change their minds in the next years. Personally I would like a game that covers the whole WWII, including the pacific.
  10. Check this site for CMBO scenarios. Klapton's Combat Mission Site
  11. Check this site for CMBO scenarios Klapton's Combat Mission Site
  12. In L'Elle River Crossing, the Germans have some TRPs. That explains why AI used arty so effectively. It is a long, tough scenario, but still I managed to get a marginal or tactical victory (don't remember).
  13. The peng thread is useful because it keeps the other threads free of scum.
  14. Non sloped armor makes the tiger vulnerable, specially against tungsten rounds. Maybe the 45mm ATG had such ammo. Don't be fooled by the 88mm gun on the Tiger; it is less powerful than the 88mm ATG.
  15. I'm surprised that there are so many Finnish speaking players and so few Spanish speaking players
  16. Thanks for your answers; now I have something to start with. I will appreciate receiving the ASL maps collection. My e-mail: klapton@navegalia.com
  17. I made a search on this topic, with little success. My specific questions are about: -. Scenario length. In ASL, 10 turns is a long time; in CM not. Maybe two times, or three times? -. Map scale. How many meters is an ASL hex? -. Woods. Scattered trees or woods terrain? -. Leaders. There are lot of leaders in a CM scenario, because platoons need them to fight properly, but this is not the case in ASL. Maybe the leaders portrayed in ASL should be represented by company/battalion leader, or a platoon leader with extra bonus? And how the ASL leader ratings can be converted in CM bonuses?
  18. My e-mail: klapton@navegalia.com
  19. I guess I have it; e-mail me if don't find it
  20. I already announced it in the scenario talk thread, but get few answers Two scenarios for playtesting (pictures inside)
  21. I guess it is enough to change the file extension, at least in CMBO (although I never tried it). In CMBB I don't know if this will work.
