  1. Or, if you'd like pictures with your tutorial (because Eric beat me to the punch...), here is my contribution. This panther wants to gain a hull down status with respect to the ridgeline some 700m in front of it - note that the ridge it is behind blocks it's view of it's "target" So, give a Hull Down order, placing it on the point (the top of the target ridgeline) you wish to be hull down to. ....and hit "GO!" - the Panther trundles forward, stopping when the waypoint comes into view - voila! Hull down! Some common sense has to be applied when using this command - it is silly to try to go hulldown to a point behind a stand of trees, for example - the unit will never gain line of sight to the waypoint.....and you will bash you head against the nearest wall.... ====================================== As an aside, I believe there is a bug concerning how the HD status of units is calculated which makes gaining a "Hull down advanatge" over enemy unit very difficult. In almost every case, if you are hulldown, so is the enemy - it is next to impossible (I have found...) to gain a HD advantage from a ridge - it is a bit easier from a hollow, but not much....
  2. Errr...can't you just load your scenario...remove all the units...and save as another scenario?
  3. 1000 point ME. May 1943 Central region. Armoured force composition. Both sides using mech divisions. Variable rarity. Computer was allowed to pick 10 forces for both sides. All results are normalized to sum to 1000. German Forces PzIII 50 : 100 PzIII 75 : 72 StuG : 100 PzIV long: 385 Marders : 114 Recon : 85 HT's all : 114 Other : 14 Soviet Forces T34's : 377 Lght Tank: 275 Recon : 212 Hvy Asslt: 15 Valintine: 39 KV1 : 31 Matilda : 24 Despite the fact that the Soviets have about 4 recon to choose from and the Germans many more...the soviets have more recon than the german recon and ALL halftracks combined. There are LOTS of PzIV's.
  4. I, on the other hand, seem to get Panthers, StuGIII's and IV's, and PzIV's, and .... Out of the 10+ Amoured ME's (1000pts) I just generated, I only got 1 where I would feel a bit cheated...2 platoons of flamePzIII's... The Soviets always got a nice mix of T34's, SU76's etc (and there is always a BA64 )...

  6. Another reasone to play smaller battle (IMHO), is the fact that large numbers of units make the "Borg Spotting" concept very influencial - with 100+ units, someone is bound to spot that AT gun in ambush...and then everyone knows it's there...
  7. Reinforcements : more options in random arrival times. (1) As it is now : Starting on turn X, there is a Y% chance of arrival per turn (therefor, a chance they won't arrive) (2) On turn X there is a Y% chance, on turn X+1 there is a (Y*2)% chance, on turn X+2 there is a (Y*3)% chance etc. (3) The reinforcemnts arrive on a random turn between X and (X+x). 8. Cpl Carrot...does this mean I'm going to win? You've got the T34's...
  9. LMAO!!! Excellent point also. Can I use that in my sig? </font>
  10. What's that in the sky? Right there - plummetting towards that KV1 on the hilltop....why, it's a stuka!
  11. I seem to recall BTS saying that this feature was in CMBO for a while - they took it out, because it started to give ridiculus results far too often...
  12. http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=23;t=004194#000000 This thread is related to your first question. It doesn't provide any answers....
  13. Because BFC were nice people, they didn't fill your registry with all sorts of rubbish. Therefore, just delete the directory. It's how things should always be, but it's not a perfect world
