  1. 7th mission of the US campaing (the Cav is coming ... or something like that) is a gem. BUT...it needs additional time. At least 15 mins more. Variable time wont do the trick because ... it is variable. For me it lasted +1 min and got a minor defeat in a totally won situation
  2. It was a great idea. They just advance a few meters too deep :-)
  3. FIX LIST on new US Campaign I am currently playing the US campaign - currently on Mission 6. The battles are very challenging. There are however some things to be fixed here and there: On the right side of tactical map where the there is the list of assets and reinforcements, in some cases the information stated there is confusing. In mission 1 (or was it 2?) the support battery comes after a very very long delay compared to its stated arrival time In other missions, the tactical briefing screen lists a battery and one line below it mentions the same type battery with an assigned arrival time: One would expect to have two batteries available but this is not the case - only one battery is available which is the one in reinforcement. The tactical briefing in mission 5 mentions objectives which are remnants from mission 4 (there are no such objectives on the map) SPOILERS.......... . . . . . MISSION 6: At least one AI plan in mission 6 makes the mission unplayable as the Russians advance with tanks and BMP-3s to overwatch positions close to and with direct LOS to the zone where the two platoons in reinforcement arrive.
  4. Thanks @Combatintman for taking the time for such an elaborate response.
  5. Having no military background at all can someone please explain how should i treat the list of CCIR available in some briefings? For example I am now reading the briefing of Miss1 of the new campaing saying: - indicators and warnings of air attacks - presence of mines and roadblocks - status of bridges Does the above mean I should be expecting enemy air and mines? What about the bridges?
  6. Some teaser shots and a vid from a new scenario I have been working during last months. Currently playtesting. (Again, if someone whised to help with briefings and artwork, I would be grateful)
  7. If there is indeed a difference (weather or not it translates to better performance or a price increase for the UAV), I tend to think it is a coding mistake. It does not make any other real sense.
  8. I am enjoying this mission a lot despite being very difficult. A couple of further points: For an operation like this with such a larg map to cover with a lot of suspected enemy positions, it would be reasonable to have all air assets, artillery and surveillance UAVs from the beginning. They way they arrive now does not make very easy to open approprirate avenues of approach
  9. Thanks for the replay. Check the pic above. The TRF is practially next to the (intended) target
  10. The real question is about the accuracy of the artillery in a point mission, rather than about how to destroy a house
  11. Is it normal for artillery to be that inaccurate? OK it is not a precission strike but still it is a point strike near a TRF targeting a house and the shells fall everywhere but on the house
  12. I am 50 mins into the game and I have to admit that this is a touch nut to crack. I will not mention any spoilers here, but the defensive set up is very good
  13. If I may, I have one comment relating to the OOB I would have integrated the Forward Observer Sections and the Air Controllers in the recon battalion. Beause, the way they are now as independent formations, they dont pass down information on what they observe on the battlefield
  14. Amazing map. hmmm.... and no intel at all on where the UKR froces may be on that map......interesting
  15. I have designed a new scenario on a map of mine. It is about a US special forces team capturing some key locations held by Russians. It is strictly H(blue) v AI. AI plan for Red is in place. I have also done some play testing. My initial intention was to built a campaign but work commitments wont let me. Actually I dont have time to complete the finishing touches of this scenario (text files, briefings, artwork etc) Is anyone interested to do the finishing touches, write an inspiring briefing and launch this as a joint project? Thanks
  16. An interesting observation: These hybrid BMP skins were created after decompiling "The Mountains of Allah" campaign with the ScAnCaDe tool and they are limited to the decompiled missions. When I purchase same AFV in the editor skins are ok! Strange...
  17. Dont want to redo istallation yet. :-)
  18. I have no mods installed other than for terrain. TThese are supposed to be Russian BMPs. What is this?
  19. Most of the following have some degree of exaggeration but you will see the truth in them - Play Elite or Iron - stay as far away as possible and kill from afar - Artillery, air assets and tanks are for killing the enemy - the rest is just for mopping up a won battle - infantry is only for spotting (and javelins if US) - Spot first! - AFVs (of all kinds) are entitled to exist on the battlefiled if the enemy has no tanks. Bradleys may be an exception in certain circumstances. - Dont bother to clear buildings - either demolish them or ingore them if you can
  20. Bridgehead to Grozny is a small intense mission. If the red commander reads the terrain correctly, he could obliterate the first line of blue defences with air strikes and artillery barrages before getting into any real contact. I opened the way on my right flank and the rest was easy. I played it in real time for a change. It worked well although I like the subtelties of turn based
  21. A very important point for Battle of Atcha Hita (which makes it a non excellent mission unforunately): The blue reiforcments arrive TOO late. Red is able to make a pincer move and advance with easy via the red right flank. As a result he can be at the reinforment arrival zone way ahead of time. Blue forces should at tha edge of the map there from the beggining and maybe get reinforced gradually. They should be at full strength at minute 15 the latest. And I recommend to make the righ side advance a bit more challenging for red.
  22. In what way are trenches worse in CMBS?
  23. "Battle of Atcha Hita" is another excellent mission with a very orignal concept on a great map. Congradulations My only comment is that I would need 2 air controllers to take full advantage of the air support. 4 assets for 1 contoller results in some of them remaining redundant during the battle
  24. Excellent Demo. Very nice to see the AI first withdraws the AFV and HQ and then the squad in bounces. I wonder how can one make use of it in a scenario. Probably assigning a ground objective as a trigger so that the withdraw sequence commences when the trigger is stepped by the enemy
  25. I think I got two conflicting views on where the shift-click should take place LOL. @RockinHarry not sure I understood the finess with the additional order, but I guess I first have to grasp the basics
