While the next few projects will still use the core SC2 engine all I can say at this point is "never say never" when it comes to an entirely new look and design for SC3
-
Thanks and you are absolutely correct when it comes to Bill Runacre. While I am definitely lucky to have connected with Bill101's talents, this next project is actually the creative work of another ingenious designer and of course more info on that when the time is right... but that being said don't be surprised if Bill101 has another masterpiece up his sleeves for down the road Hubert

Thank you all and rest assured I hope to get well as soon as possible I also have to agree that I think we are all lucky to have such a dedicated and vibrant community, there are many familiar names still poking about since right from the beginning, and as much as I would like to think SC is simply my baby, in many ways the series belongs to you guys too as the feedback and inspiration of the last 7 years or so has been nothing short of fantastic... and I humbly say that with all sincerity.

Thank you Hubert

Thanks George and I'm glad to hear the series "sucked you back in" so to speak Hubert -
Hey, Just a quick update that we are still working very hard on the next game and while I was hoping to have some official information for you guys around this time it is slightly delayed as I suffered a back injury on a short holiday I had a few weeks ago. It is nothing too serious, a minor disc herniation and I will heal, but unfortunately it prevents me from spending much time at the computer at the moment as I undergo rest and therapy sessions. Good news is that work continues, as it is once again more than just me working on this one, and we will have an update for you guys as soon as things are ready on our end. That being said I am very excited about the next project and I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe, just maybe mind you , you guys might like what we have in store for you Hubert

Bug in morale formula
Hubert Cater replied to Wushuki's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Wushuki, is this in SC2 Blitzkrieg? I only ask as we made some corrections to these formulas and likely this is already fixed in the newer versions of the game. Hubert -

Thanks for the positive feedback Big Al, very much appreciated. -
types and cancel positon question
Hubert Cater replied to Big Al's topic in Strategic Command 2 Scenario and Mods Forum
Big Al, it should only cancel as long as the conditions are met, i.e. it will cancel a plan already in place but also prevent the plan from initiating if the cancel condition is met. -
SC2 Blitzkrieg and WAW installs
Hubert Cater replied to Julian D's topic in Strategic Command Tech Support Forum
Yes it should be fine... happy gaming Hubert -
Meuli, This is a problem with older and campaigns or saved games that are no longer compatible with the newer patch. The easiest way to resolve this is to do a full uninstall and delete any remaining directories and then a clean install followed by the latest patch. Alternatively you can simply go into your Campaigns folder and delete any older incompatible campaigns and then your Saved games folders, i.e. including the Multiplayer folders and delete all the older and incompatible saves. Hope this helps, Hubert

While I can't say for sure (just yet) what the horizon holds for the future of SC... I think it is safe to say that with the flexibility of the core game engine, both game types are more than possible, well, with the appropriate additions and adjustments of course Hubert

Mithel, 1) Correct 2) IIRC it would be 4 + 4 = 8% with 2 chits, i.e. each chit would be multiplied by 4% rather then 5% when you had not yet achieved level 1. It just says that the multiplier is decreased for each level from 5 to 4 to 3 and so on. 3) I believe the cumulative refers to if you have an ally also targeting the same country, i.e. Germany and Italy target Spain with Diplomatic investments and these would then be added together to increase your per turn chance. Not that it keeps increasing per turn.

So Where Are We At?
Hubert Cater replied to Biscuit60156's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Arado234, I'm not actually familiar with Third Reich, how would you suggest it to work in an SC game? -

Biscuit60156, thanks for the interest and rest assured when we get closer to having more to say we definitely will Hubert -
Good to hear

Hi Hilltopper! In order to invade any country you have to click on the 'War Map' and then pick the flag you wish to declare war against. After that you should be able to invade as expected. For the Maginot Line, these are French units so as the Axis player you will naturally not be able to move them. Hope this helps, Hubert

Guderian, in answer to your questions of A, B, and C Intelligence should work the same for all modes of play and if it does not it is a glitch. If you find a repeatable situation or if you have a saved game where you think it should be working send it my way and I'd be happy to take a look. support@furysoftware.com

One option, if desired, is to disable 'Diplomacy' when you start playing the Operation Z campaign. This is available under the Advanced game options. Hubert
