  1. Once you have a transported unit adjacent the malta island, right click and there should be an option for unload. Hubert
  2. Consider it as a placeholder for now, still working on the final details. Hubert
  3. OK that makes sense, it will do that, I don't have it checking to see if you've already saved a game with that file name on the same turn. As for the various sort requests etc., I'll have to see if I have time for that, most likely not since I've got a few other things that really need get done first. Hubert
  4. It could be, not really sure, could you try another interrupt request channel to see if it works? This would just help to narrow down the problem for me. Hubert
  5. Yup this another strange one, there should be a naming convention of year-month-day but I couldn't tell you offhand why it pops the window up twice. I'll take a look. The long delay with the button clicks is a problem with sound interruption. It seems as though on some systems the sound cannot be interupted properly, I'm looking into a fix for this. Hubert
  6. Okay very strange, I'll take a look and see if I can see why this may be. Hubert
  7. Yeah you are right, might have to do with me moving them around, blame Straha I'll fix it. Hubert
  8. Yeah this is going to be a problem if you use custom positions for your icons and a higher resolution than 1024x768 which the game runs at. A nice utility that saves and restores desktop settings is 12Ghosts, you can check it out at the following link, and I've heard that it does a pretty good job in this respect: http://www.12ghosts.com/ghosts/sl.htm Hope this helps, Hubert
  9. My guess is that this is related to the sound interupt problem, still working on this one. Hubert
  10. Yeah when you escape the game it will be at 1024x768 since the game is still running (I might be able to work around this), but it stays at 1024x768 when you actually exit the game, meaning you hit the 'Exit' button and cleared the credits? and does not return to your original resolution, something other than 1024x768. Just want to clarify so I can be sure, because it should. Either way glad to hear that you are enjoying the game. Hubert
  11. I could be wrong, but it starts at 10 for me. Are you sure you are not talking about the one in France?
  12. The problem with the whining is that right now when the game runs at 1024x768 it will use the default refresh rate, usually around 60Hz. On some monitors this rate can be very low and appear to flash quite a bit or 'whine' in your case. Originally the game was designed to identify the highest refresh rate available on your system at 1024x768 and switch to that rate, but it appears that on some systems if the default monitor driver is used, sometimes the reported refresh rate will be higher than what the current monitor settings can allow. This caused the black screens on day one of the demo release. As a workaround you can reset your refresh rate manually once the game loads, or use a third party utility that locks refresh rates at various resolutions, Powerstrip comes to mind. This is just temporary solution and I'm working on a better system for the final. I hope this helps, Hubert
  13. If you click on the resource or even if you click on a unit on a resource, it will tell you at the bottom right portion of the screen what the resource is worth in MPP's Hubert
  14. Ted, Well I guess the funny thing is I am starting to sound pretty predictable, so when I get into droll mode just let me know. Hubert
  15. Oh man that cracked me up, I just tried it, was pretty funny to watch. It looks like what's actually happening is that the next selected unit on the maginot line is actually attacking itself. I'll definitly fix this
  16. Very interesting. I'll look into to it. Thanks for the heads up Seriously though, I think I know why this might be happening and I'll fix it up for the final. Hubert
  17. Please try a patched EXE I introduced a couple of days ago, it seems to have addressed a small bug that existed in the game when originally announced, hopefully it will fix yours as well. ftp://ftp.battlefront.com/pub/demos/stratcom/SC.zip Hubert
  18. This is another strange one, can you click on the area where they are supposed to be, does it work by any chance? Anyone else with the same problem?
  19. If there is no sound, then it looks like the sounds cannot be loaded by the game. What OS are you using, and could you check to see if the following file is on your computer 'winmm.dll' Anyone else with this problem?
  20. Yeah that's strange, I'll have to double check to see why that might be happening. Hubert
  21. Just to help me track this down, have you ever seen any of the following messages, "Interceptors!", "Escorts", "Germany Collects XXX MPP" etc, or is it just the 'Country Surrenders' or so and so 'Declares War' messages? Hubert
  22. This is an interesting problem, I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this? if so please let me know. As a small workaround for the time being, make sure you have the 'Last Turn Summary' option checked as you will get most of these messages in there under 'Military Activity' Hubert
  23. Very interesting strategy, I admit I've never actually tried this one but I'm glad you've been able to point it out. Expect some adjustments for the final release Hubert
  24. If you occupy all the land hexes adjacent the fortified unit then they will only be able to reinforce to 5, that should help a bit.
