  1. rleete, SC2 WaW will not affect SC2 Blitzkrieg as the installation protects the original one. Essentially once installed both games can be played without interference of the other. In terms of compatiblity with the Blitzkrieg files and the Weapons and Warfare files they are unfortunately not compatible. This is mostly due to all the additions to Weapons and Warfare so it was of course unavoidable. For reference though there will be a short write up included from Bill Macon that advises modders on how to migrate their custom campaigns from Blitzkrieg to Weapons and Warfare as some of the campaign data files are in fact transferable, just not the entire campaign.
  2. Cantona66, Could be that the patch and/or hotfix is installing to the wrong directory. What I would suggest is to do a full uninstall and then a clean install and then apply the v1.07 patch found here: http://www.battlefront.com/products/sc2/downloads.html From the available mirrors I would suggest using the one from the 'Patches Scrolls' as that one I know has the full and proper v1.07 with the correct DX fix, i.e. no Hotfix necessary for that particular patch. Hope this helps, Hubert
  3. Hyazinth von Strachwitz, there will be a new German retail combo package for Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare out later this year. It will be available through Kalypso Media but unfortunately with the demise of Walkon, the original publisher of SC2, it will not be compatible with the Walkon version as it is a new release.
  4. Just curious, why is this game poorly advertised? Personally I think it's the best strategic ww2 game, though I admit I only played making history and hearts of iron 2. I like the simplicity of managing resources and the emphasis on strategy. And it doesnt take forever to play. Back to the original question, I think someone should go around ww2 forums like axis forum and such and post screenshots of the game. Just a suggestion. Oh and don't post the standard pics which are used on the website itself. It makes the game look fixed. </font>
  5. asgard, this scenario is still included but is simply renamed Poland.
  6. Hi Kaiser, If you haven't already tried doing so can you download and apply the latest SC2 patch (v1.07)? Also, can you be a bit more specific on the DirectX error, if possible? Hubert
  7. Just an update that we've posted the 4th and 5th installments of Dan's beta AAR... a little late as I got pretty busy wrapping up the new Expansion but his reports should continue to give everyone an idea of some of the changes and enhancements to be found in the coming release
  8. Hi FuChu, Not sure why the program is now looking for this file but you can download it here and simply place it in your SC2 installation directory: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr71 Hope this helps, Hubert
  9. Juergen, I think you are referring to the D-Day scenario in the Demo? If so then your results are pretty much as to be expected, i.e. the Germans were able to put up a good fight but with limited resources relative to the Allies and the set MPPs reflect this for the scenario, i.e. the Allies have a bit more and the Germans a bit less.
  10. This will be available in the Weapons and Warfare expansion pack as the Editor has seen a major overhaul as well. Hubert
  11. Hi Retributar, Not sure what might have happened as the installer generally locates the previous installation location and installs over that. I would suggest a clean install of the original version, either from CD or download and the application of the patch and that should do the trick. Hubert
  12. Odd error Nero... unfortunately it does sound as you suspect, i.e. something up with your PC. Can you try the installation on another computer just to confirm?
  13. Just an unofficial update... next month for sure guys and a more formal announcement from Battlefront will be made next week
  14. I think most of the mirrors are now holding the correct version of the v1.07 patch. If not you can simply apply the hotfix noted in top thread of the tech forum, found here: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000555
  15. Ignore last post, new Hotfix is now available... see top Tech thread found here: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000555;p=1#000000
  16. If you are unable to run the game or receive a DirectX error after installing the v1.07 patch please download the hotfix found here: SC2 Blitzkrieg v1.07 Hotfix
  17. Mustang and anyone else having this problem, please email me at support@furysoftware.com Thanks, Hubert
  18. Hi Mustang, A hotfix should be up very shortly, most likely tomorrow and I apologize for the error. Hubert
  19. Thrawn, the AI speed has been improved and some distance calculations are now up to 3 times faster in the worst case scenarios. Additionally we now have some DEBUG features that allow you to set AI vs. AI games as well as the ability to turn of AI animation as this speeds up game play tremendously when testing.
  20. In fairness to Bill, who I strongly believe did such a great job with that manual (as well as the fine edits contributed by Dave), it is probably next to impossible to get absolutely everything 110% correct when it comes to game manuals. Thinking back I remember I was not always as detailed as possible when he was writing the thing and asking questions (side effect of already being over my head in just getting the game done) so I am sure that didn't help either!
