Is it possible to make it smaller? -
whenever I create an operation, I can't seem to change the battle window size option _AT ALL_. is this a fixed thing or a bug or I just didn't press the right button combo?

quote:
BTS has said that there will be no aircraft representation

The strangest thing, I recently had a dream where I was an Ostwind commander and I saw 2 mustangs firing at me from above.

quote:
Hardly, 76mm t rounds can kill it from close up and 90mm from a little farther away.

Are you sure you are not talking about Jagdpanther. The Jagdtiger has 250mm armor and When I tested it against Pershing tungsten, it was ricocheting fromn 10m!
-
another question: why did it have to be a churchill? couldn't it be cromwell?
-
Also it seems to be the only tank to kill Jagdtiger in the front.
-
well, that is the weirdest tank I'v ever seen. The question(s): Why were they made and how successful they were and why didn't they have HE ammo?

How to use flame units effectively.....
Kirill S. replied to Ryan Crierie's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I just did a test using 7 Flammpanzers. I was targeting a Flammpanzer to Area Fire near another one. They exploded like crazy. That's some good FF. After a crew abandoned the tank, the fire kept coming and th germans fried one of their own, shouldn't they see where they are firing?? -
then how about merging engineers and bazookas with plain infantry?
-
I think it would be a great suggestion to merge different units witha a squad: Like the flamethrower, mmg, bazooka, engineers. That would add a great assault and command advantage.

Why is this not modeled in CM?

he got so much fat on army food? -
www.combat-missions.net Amen!

I don't think that will do any good. If a human has a lot of units to command, he simply will not do it. I tried myself to play Clash of Eagles but I just couldn't do it. Instead I made myself a map 4 days ago with very small forces (2x Stuart, 2x Greyhound, 2x Halftarck, 1x Sherman + infantry vs. 2x Lynx, 1x Puma, 2x Halftrack, 1x Flame Halftrack + 2x Panzershreck, 1x 50mm AT gun + infantry) in a small city. That map me and my brother still play this map and we do not get bored. The whole experience is based on the 3d close combat so adding a 2d element IMO will not do any good. Fell free to say that I'm wrong.

A question, a comment, perhaps all gobbledygook.

Gunny Bunny? Is he a forum legend? I'm setting out on the search. The slow search in here makes it even more exciting! Finding forum legends is the most fun thing to do for newbies. Does anyone else like to hunt those legends? -
whoa, gamey is now in the constitution?

Thanks all!

Can someone explain to me how thw VT works?

OK, so what ARE we supposed to talk about???
Kirill S. replied to Maximus's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I think the forum admins should give "us" ONE thread in General Discussion so we would let ourselves out in there... -
I dunno about WinME, but only Win2k supports several simultaneous sounds playing from HD, I use winamp fine in all games but in Win98 I have to choose between CD or silence.

quote:
Things got onto a bad footing from the word go. I suggest we drop this, let the moderators lock the thread, and forget the whole affair. Waiting for people to apologise to other people is yawnworthy. BTW - they insulted my country too. I live in the UK, if you'll check my details. I just shrug it off (mostly by remembering that Americans have terrible inferiority complexes). I'm sure you can aswell.

Good idea, I'm gonna drop this now. (FYI I'm not American) -

you don't seem to understand that you made everyone's day worse, even those who didn't post here... -

Honestly: Get off the board, people don't like you now, and you put a tag on yourself so they won't like you after. The most mature thing you could do is leave. Angrily: Get the f*** off the board, no one likes you here. Stop your idiot spelling and 1337 talk and get out. for others: one of the ways could work, we tried telling him nicely to leave or be more mature, well, this time I'll try another way.
