DerKessel is closing shop
Jussi Köhler replied to Jussi Köhler's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Menschy's account dont work for some reason. He's using these funny Mac-only browsers. Might be why. He asked me to add that if anybody wants to host the files get in contact with the authors as they are their property. -

Radio cars
Jussi Köhler replied to General Snuffy Smith's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hehe, I wish. I've heard that radio cars can take command over tanks that belong to a platoon that has lost its leader, but cant confirm that... Too lazy to test it... -
203mm spotter + 4 x TRP = This
Jussi Köhler replied to Bone_Vulture's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hehe, in CMBO in the "McKinleys Battallion" operation (I think, not 100% sure) I had kills in the 500's against the AI. The AI kept pouring troops into this one little piece of woods which made it a bit easier for me So I wouldnt say 288 is exactly impossible, very good though  -

What about tank trenches ?
Jussi Köhler replied to Bogdan's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Cant you simulate it with a lowered marsh-tile? Should be unpassable for tanks. This would off course be done in the editor and the defender had no say in the setup where to place them unfortunately... -
Loading CMMOS mods and rulesets in one go?
Jussi Köhler replied to Mies's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I've had this same problem. What I did not know at the time was that after installing mods/rulesets CMMOS copies the files into CMMOS\CMBB\MODS. So if you do not delete the downloaded files you are actually having two copies of them on your comp. I have started to delete all my mod-files after installing them. Saves space and makes it easy to find and install recent additions... -

I have heard these strange rumors that Soddball is expecting a turn from me... We cant have that can we. I will check this unverified rumor when I get home in a few hours. -
As we are going to be installing lots and lots and lots of mods in the near future I see a "little" problem looming... So far I have downloaded all my CMMOSed mod-zips into one folder. This folder is getting pretty large to say the least. Im having some major problems in finding the most recent files that havent been installed yet. I know I could always install them in a sub-folder, but what Id really like is the ability in CMMOS to choose a bunch (or a whole folder) and install them all in one go. If the fiels have been installed before, no biggie, they get installed again and work as before. I spoke about this to Gordon a few months ago but he wasnt very eager over it. What do you guys think? Would it be useful? Hard to implement?' Jussi

One Click To Combat for CMBB

I agree that your PBEM helper is probably (havent tried it yet) a very good program. What irritates me is your attitude. I dont like it when people try to stuff things down my throat. -

Well I found that One Click to Combat was extremely easy to install and use. And I tend to frown an arrogance, the worst human trait in my opinion. -
One Click To Combat for CMBB
Jussi Köhler replied to hardcampa's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Actually the process is called CombatMission2.exe in the CDV version. I think that after Lou renamed the executable it changed the name of the process as well... The application in called: Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin, and the process as stated earlier. -

Sorry about my mumbling in those two above posts... Guess the beer was doing the talking. I get exactly the same symptoms as Lou. Sooo, its probably either Win2k/XP or the CDV version that is causin the error. Does anyone have it working with either Win2k/XP or CDV??? -

There are absolutely no redeeming qualities in our rap-music, except maybe that not all of us listen to it... Still far to many... Almost as horrible as the gothic heavy metal ****e that is everywhere!!! Finnish music is as good as british cooking or american politics...
