1. Ted - A bag of goodies are whizzing their way over the Atlantic to you at this very moment. Should arrive sometime next week; via messenger pigeon!. [ 04-20-2001: Message edited by: Manx_CM ]
2. I'm just finishing off wrapping up all my "gifts" and about to send word of them to Ted, ready for when the "Sidewalk Sale" party starts. Have a great time and i hope all you ModSlutsā„¢ & Scenario Slagsā„¢ find satisfaction with what all the CM artists, designers and webmasters have to offer you. p.s - thanks to Ted for organising this thing and also for the constant barrage of e-mails he's sent this week reminding me to send something in!.
3. Why not write a little piece about how some of these games turn out?(AAR's)?. I'd love to host an article about "How KiwiJoe Got His Ass Whooped (Several Times!)" on COMBAT MISSIONS.
4. and....thanks to me & Berli for giving you the "encouragement" to setup this site. Seriously, i wish you well in this project. It will take you a lot of hard work in getting it all together, but in the end i think you will find it much more rewarding than what you had in mind before. Best of Luck!.
5. Methinks that KiwiJoe's proud record is about to take a nosedive into the mediocre.
6. try e-mailng BTS - I'm sure they will help you out. sales@battlefront.com
7. The cold is playing havoc with my armour, my men have got trenchfoot and to top it all off, i can hear the sound of "Stalin's Organ" playing in the background. It'll all be over soon...
8. dima - what is your problem?. This was only ever a discussion and as i understand it, it has been resolved to everyones satisfaction. Admiral Keth is correct - many scenario designers and websites hold the intellectual copyright to these scenarios. While i understand the need for easily accessible scenarios, IMHO, i thought there was a better way of doing this, in a way that wouldn't upset anyone. The new site that Spike & Admiral Keth have started should make it easy for people to find and get the scenarios they want, which IIRC, was the original purpose of the "uber-pack". 9. I have just noticed a problem - The M10 & Wolverine share exactly the same bmp numbers, but i think the M36 uses these ONLY for it's hull & wheels, but not the turret, so the M36 retains whatever turret mod (if any) you have installed previously. I have just e-mailed Audace about this.
10. Now ready to d/l (2.77mb) @ COMBAT MISSIONS Please Note - This mod will also alter the Wolverine & M36 Jackson TD's.
11. To be honest - you can't go wrong with anything by Franko, WBW, Rune or Warey. [ 04-20-2001: Message edited by: Manx_CM ]
12. Scenarios - "VoT" & "August Bank Holiday". Operations - "We Fight & Die Here" and "21st Panzer Attacks". [ 04-20-2001: Message edited by: Manx_CM ]
13. I'm certainly hoping that i will be able to bring along some nice new toys to the party. [ 04-18-2001: Message edited by: Manx_CM ]
14. Yep....the website path to the pic will be something like - "www.yoursite.com/pics/yourpic.jpg" or whatever. The dialog box will add the HTTP bit in for you. Good Luck!
15. If i don't get anything over that weekend, i will make it up!
16. But what if nobody sends any stuff in???.
17. Cutting and pasting into the message box won't work. You need to have the pic you want to post located on a website somewhere. On the "NEW TOPIC" page there is a set of INSTANT UBB CODE buttons (just below the message box). Click on the IMAGE button and this will open up a dialog box where you then have to insert the path to the pic. As long as this path is correct the pic will then be inserted into your post. Clear??? 18.
quote:
Originally posted by Maximus: Basically all I did was to increase the brightness and contrast of the dark brown uniform ONLY by masking out the straps and equipment.

Yes, that's all very well, BUT!...do they match the base!??
19.
quote:
Originally posted by Pvt. Ryan: I think it's great. The AFV now matches the base.

Indeed...in fact, IIRC, Rob is the probably the first mod artist to attempt this subtle, yet effective technique. No doubt other mod-makers will add this to their "box of tricks" and we should expect to see a flurry of similar mods released over the next few days or so. Or not, as the case may be. 20.
quote:
Originally posted by Maximus: Well, pretty much chalk that one up as "Won't be seeing the light of day on Manx's COMBAT MISSIONS". Looks great Rob, it'll go real good with your interface mod.

The wheels need a bit more work doing to them, but other than that - a most excellent attempt from the young man. 21. Excellent work!. This serves the "make em' easy to get" scenario d/l idea very well. Good luck with this project.
22. Suffering from CM burnout!?..i have cure!!!...set up CM website...you will never have time to play the bloody thing!.
23. Wrong thread...sorry! [ 04-16-2001: Message edited by: Manx_CM ]
