  1. Oh, you little gem. I was just going to do that. Now you've done it, yo ma bitch.
  2. Oh yes. Flamethrowers aren't exactly a precision weapon and your soldiers are daft enough to try it. I have lost halftracks and infantry to overzealous flaming, most commonly from a Wasp or Badger. The only solution is to order your flamethrower units to burn each other to death within the first turn of the game
  3. You should try the FAQ in my sig. Alternatively, try the 'Opponent Finder' forum.
  4. Yeah and the British for "good food" or "pretty girls"...</font>
  5. It depends on the load that the Stuka is carrying. It might have been carrying an 1,100lb bomb - big enough to level a building. Don't forget that 'gun damage' doesn't always mean 'barrel twisted' or the like, but affects components like the gun sights, optics, and so on.
  6. The Germans have a word for humourless? That's like the Welsh having a word for rain or pineapples having a word for motor racing.
  7. Set up a paypal system. I would be delighted to contribute to your costs and I know alot of other people would too.
  8. That's pretty much it. Flag stuff like walls, trenches, barbed wire, foxholes etc are comparatively simple. Tanks have loads of BMPs (ten? fifteen? I don't know), and some of the BMPs are reversed (eg sides of turret) to save space. Not only that, but some tanks share BMPs so you have to be really careful what you edit. Some new craters and foxholes would be nice. I noticed that the standard ones don't blend too well into snow, so how about giving us some snow foxholes? BTW - pink is transparent.
  9. If the mortar had just been moving, it does have a 'setup time' from when it stops, to put the mortary bits together. Maybe you experienced that lag?
  10. We do, don't I. Living is such a relative term. Living with your relatives is worse. It could be worse, Firefly. I could have a beard.
  11. If you want them, Mike, they're in. Consider the scenario jugged to the max. Yes, you CAN have water that ain't joined at different heights. My forthcoming mountain scenario will prove it. And it looks fab.
  12. In BoB they do say later on that they took out 105s, not 88s.
  13. Well, having read almost every book ever about WW2, I've decided that the Germans lost. Anyway, back to waterfalls. I am currently conjuring up a winter mountain scenario, with Gerbilyogas and stuff. Because the rivers are frozen, a slab of snow-covered rough (the one wiv der big rocks innit) looks pretty bloody good. With the rivers unfrozen, it looks ok. The longer the drop, the more convincing it seems to be. Incidentally, whether or not there were battles near waterfalls in Russia is irrelevant. If I want to include a battle with them in, I will. I'm not making historical scenarios for the titillation of the Doroshling grogs out there. I'm making cracking fights with gorgeous scenery, so you can stand and gawp and the beauty of the terrain as your arse is slowly handed to you. Edited to add the rant about waterfalls - the last bit, anyway. The rest of it wasn't really a rant. [ November 13, 2002, 08:39 AM: Message edited by: Soddball ]
  14. You can't shoot holes in stone walls, I'm afraid. Besides, actually levelling a stone wall is very difficult. You can read accounts of any number of sieges where the walls might have been breached in a couple of places, but weren't flattened.
  15. I've just been fiddling around in the editor, trying to create some sort of waterfall. The best solution I can come up with is to place a tile of 'rough' ground as the vertical bit of the waterfall. It isn't perfect but it's better than nothing.
  16. If you're using MS Windows, creating a text file is easy. Just load up Notepad (Start/Programs/Accessories usually) and type your text in there, then save it. As for the stone wall icon, there should be a red 'down' arrow on the palette. Click on it, and your stone walls will be revealed.
