  1. Oops, I posted something on the release date but then saw such a post already exists. Apologies, please delete now. THank you. [ July 12, 2002, 07:41 PM: Message edited by: SS_Obergruppenführer ]
  2. I looked him up and he is mentioned as a Slovenian in one of our history books (Vojna Zgodovina by Janez J. Švajcner) so he was definetly ours. By the way, Slovenia was never behind the Iron Curtain and I resent being called a commie coz' I hate the little reds. Buy me a beer and I just might forgive you though...
  3. Now THAT is amazing! Didn't know about this guy! But seriously, the partisans didn't have more than trucks, so what use could he have been if they didn't have any StuGs? The Slovenes earned over a thousand Iron Crosses 2nd Class and 50 Iron Crosses First Class in the Wehrmacht. I don't think they really cared who was fighting for them, as long as he was wearing feldgrau. I think the masses of Croats, Slovenes, French, Turks, Latvians, etc. prove that.
  4. I know this has been discused some time ago but dunno if it has been answered. In my opinion partisan troops should not be allowed to cross the borders of their country unless it has been fully liberated. So when that happens the partisans should either be allowed to roam freely or be disbanend all together and the liberated country would gain a new corps which would feature the reorganized partisans now forming a new rag-tag army. I also thought about this possible scenario; an unattentive Axis player concentrates all his troops on the Eastern front thinking that there is no threat from the West. Then a surprise Allied landing takes place in northern Germany which is completely undefended (okay, maybe a weak corps in Berlin or something). Now, theoretically, the Allies would have no problem virtually walking through Germany and most of France in let's say two turns. Surely there would be some resistance in the form of armed civilians, police, or most probably some troops that are guarding the interior of the land, like Volkssturm or some units (not entire corps or armies, but lets say divisions or even battalions in the interior having a rest). Is there any way to somehow implement this effect, although it must be quite difficult. Cheers
  5. Three of us? Wow! It looks like just a matter of days before we start nagging to you about inclusion of Slovene East Front Drafted Übertruppen (well, actually Greif Division was quite full of us Slovenes). Cheers. [ July 12, 2002, 11:41 AM: Message edited by: SS_Obergruppenführer ]
  6. Aw man.......!!! Now that I'll obviously have to order (damn you guys, you know my money is your money ), I will receive the US version and it has Waffen SS units included, right?
  7. I'm sorry if I'm not completely up-to-date on the matter, but I've just read that CMBB will be distributed across most of Europe, but does that mean it will be on the shelves in some countries like the retail version of CMBO is now, or are we looking at a normal big release like most games do? If so, will we see it in Central Europe, particulary Slovenia (I'm sure Ales Dvorak wants to know this too )?
  8. Sheesh, I'm so slow at making my turns it's frightening. Still, having some problems with 2 of my opponents who don't reply. Hmmmm.....? <GeneralSV in B&T>
  9. Rot scheint die Sonne; that's the anthem of the German Paratroopers in WWII, I downloaded it yesterday and all I can say is fantastic!!! You must try this one! If you want, I can mail it to you, just ask me at Empire@email.si Include it....please?
  10. I did it! Held out against the PC, good practice for PBEMs. Got a real pounding but was veeery close 'til comrade Stalin would join the war. Then the fun could begin hehehe....
  11. Any chance in hell you can actually defend France in a PBEM? By the way, that's 47, not 470.
  12. Difficulty always standard, FoW on, no hex. Damn I love this game!
  13. Anyone who wants a PBEM game (Rommel22, I dunno what happened??), mail me at Empire@email.si, right now gonna play two or three PBEMs max. Thanks and hope to meet ya face to face soon!
  14. 1278 points. Read it and weep all you SC grognards!!
  15. I think we should get extra MPPs if we let Vichy "live", to simulate the reparations it had to pay. On another note; I just attempted Barbarossa and got my ass kicked since I wasn't prepaired well enough.
  16. Mr.Clark: this is a historical event. I think Yugoslavia joined the Axis for only a day or something like that before a pro-Allied coup forced the king to abdicate. Nice of Hubert to include this one!
  17. Mind if I post this AAR on my site? Demo AARs welcome too of course...
  18. Also: Carriers too cheap, U-Boats too expensive!
  19. Units shouldn't get resupplied while surrounded. That's not realistic. Perhaps should be allowed to reinforce in city hexes to simulate conscription?
  20. And YES, we are in business...still a lot of stuff to add, but getting there! At last I tamed the frames, so please check it out!!!! Also, send me some of your AARs and screenshots too, mods for icons, articles, you name it! I'll put your name in the credits. mihahribernik@hotmail.com http://www.geocities.com/btsstratcomm/SCindex.htm
  21. What difficulty you playing? I used the default and took France almost immediately, still left me time to conquer Yugoslavia, Sea Lion could not be completed due to lack of air cover (those nasty Allied Spitfires!!). Rommel, you up for a PBEM game (or anyone else!!!!!!)? Mail me at Empire@email.si ! Now just to update the damn site....those frames are eating me alive!
  22. Playing it as we speak...damn awesome Hubert, bloody fantastic,...<insert many superlatives here!>, one thing though; does the range of rockets increase as you research into them? It's pretty puny at first, and how long does it take for our brainstormers to discover something new? I researched something in 1st turn but they haven't researched it by the end of the demo. Anyway....awesome!
