  1. I would not necissarily call mine "professional" however, they convey the information I needed in order to get multiple people to understand the same orders and instructions.
  2. I have a set of overlays for map 781. I would be glad to stuff or ZIP them up for whoever wants them. Jeff
  3. I have the highest of hopes for SC2. I have probably played SC a few hundred times and have now shelved it. Looking forward to SC2 ... in any incarnation, I'll buy it!
  4. Hmmm ... on the wish list. This would be the same list that has over 1,600 items? Is the wish list prioritized?
  5. Interesting ... I had never heard of an MMP Cheater app or a FOW Sniffer. Didn't know they existed. [where can I get them  ]
  6. This appears to be one of the cycles where the TacOps list is quiet. Probably due to the Tourney and other things. There has been a bit more traffic on the mailing list, mostly concerning network play. I just wanted to say that I find it remarkable the shere ammount of re-playability in this game. I have been playing TacOps for quite some time and I still keep returning to it ...
  7. Should be okay ... I just d/l a few updates. Jeff
  8. 1,575 items !!!! You should post that list somewhere so we can quit asking for the same thing! Maybe even save you a few hours a week answering emails on items already on the list. Of course, then someone would want the list prioritized because they would want to know what to look for next ... on second thought ... DON'T publish that list.
  9. Scott, Glad your CPX went well overall. As the creator of Map 780 [my 1st map] I am overjoyed that you chose to use it. I also have a 781 varient posted to the TacOps web site that is an imporved version ... mostly removing bridges to enable usining engineering, a little more woods etc ... I have reserved the 782 Map number for a 20 x 30KM map I am working so one of us needs to change our number to avoid possible conflict. Again, congrat on hosting your CPX !!!
  10. Hmmm ... I visited the Team Trackless site on the Strategypage web site. The TO&E charts / lists are gone! Perhaps they are being updated? Does anyone have any info on this?
  11. Thanks for the assist. You have both given me some food for thought.
  12. Hmmm ... I still have an old Performa 6220 [75 Mhz] with a whopping 64MB RAM on my home network that can still run TacOps4. As long as I stay away from the bigger maps and high unit counts. Speaking of which. Does anyone know who may want this old dog. I've still got the original software, keyboard and mouse. No monitor. I'm looking to donate it somewhere.
  13. Great thread. One question however. I do not see where I can add an Headquarters that doesnot already exist. Am I missing something?
  14. I am looking for some input from the TacOps community about this. The given point values are a great tool for balancing a scenario with no options /preferences checked. However, when giving the OPFOR thermals, improved ATGM warheads, etc ... the point values do not change. Balance becomes more difficult to determine. What methods or techniques do you use to compensate or adjust for this? Any and all responses are welcome. Thanks in advance ...
  15. Right on the TacOps4 page is a brief list the Major put up highlighting some of the biggest changes. There are quite a few not listed. My personal favorite is the engineer and bridging equipment ... obsticals to breach ... most fun. My recommendation ... buy v4, get on the mailing list and get in on some of the multiplayer games hosted on the weekends. You will not be disappointed. Good gaming. Jeff
  16. 2 Years ago !? If you have TacOps3 there is a patch to 3.11 for Mac and 3.12 for Win. The Major might still have them around. If you've got TacOps4 there is an update / patch on the Battlefront webside in the Downloads section. To the best of my knowledge, there is no upgrade path from v3 to v4 ... Happy Gaming
  17. Obviously, I was hoping for an easier way. Thanks for the quick reply.
  18. Major H, How did you manage to get the grid lines in there? I would like to make a png for 781c for folks to use. Jeff
  19. Duke, Did you find what you were looking for? If not, look at Maps 780c & 781c. They are 15 x 30 KM in size. Good for screening battles.
  20. Now, James ... leave the Major alone. He is too busy working on my scenario editor/creator.
  21. Looking for feedback. Map780c used in the CPX is one I made a while ago. I am beginning work on a new map and I am looking for input as to any errors in terrain logic or color schemes etc, before I get too far in the artwork on 782c. All critiques are welcome. Thanks in advance.
  22. I also have Strat Cmd purchased recently. I have been a [very] long time TacOps player. I think you will find an almost complete lack of "gameyness" in TacOps. You do all the command and maneuver. No tricks or gambits ... just good tough fights. Note: I do not mean downgrade StratCmd at all as I love that game too. I just want to point out differing game philosophies. I am sure you will have a blast.
  23. Oops , sorry ... 202c is not in the Map Room.
  24. If your using Macs ... give the TacOps more memory. If not ... You can download the map from the Battlefront website by going to the TacOps4 product. From there to the RESOURCES link, then to TacOps Headquarters and finally to the Map Room. --- or --- http://www.battlefront.com/resources/tacops/index.html and go to the Map Room Good Gaming
