  1. Ah, thanks. Not too bad then. Thankfully, the way the game is written, complicated uninstalls, leaving loads of crap behind, are not needed. Just delete the folder from the install location and done (remembering of course to save any mod files installed!!). Bit late to the game with Marines but modern is not REALLY my bag, that said I sometimes fancy a change to the Germans in NATO and I just can't get that interested in the Stryker units
  2. I currently have CMSF and NATO installed and patched to 1.32. If I bought Marines now how would I need to to an install? 1) Just install Marines, licence it and thats it? 2) Install and licence then re-run 1.31 and 1.32 patches selecting 'Marines'? 3 Complete re-install of the lot (hope not)?
  3. I ask because I was playing NATO before, prior to 1.32, and on the elite setting, in the first mission of the German campaign, I found I had to be REALLY careful cresting a ridge with an AFV as invariably it would be 'bang'. ATGM hit and dead. Now I've noticed that often I can crest a ridge and many times, when an ATGM fires, it tends to just hit the dirt a few hundred metres in front of the firer, not even getting close to the target?? Seems odd as before I found the various ATGMs lethal. Maybe it was just a run of good luck for the German army and poor targeting, system failure by the OPFOR?
  4. I like the German campaign. Just the 2nd scenario I found a bit boring. Bit of a long slog.
  5. Think I've sorted it. Went from the KB article here on re-installs: http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=181&nav=0,10,4 Installed Paradox game Patched to 1.10 Patched to (regular) 1.21 Installed NATO - licensed base game and module with NATO key Patched 1.31 Patched 1.32 Just want to check there will nothing that hasn't patched through going this route
  6. I notice the info has changed now under NATO and just want to check, having unpacked most of my freight after emigrating, and before I go through the whole patching routine again. Is the chronology of patches as listed above still the same if I JUST have CMSF and NATO or is it the case that I just need to pacth to 1.10 then instal NATO, 1.31 and 1.32? Mainly ask as all the patches are some hefty downloads and I have them all on a portable HDD which I can't find yet :-( I already bought the 1.21 Paradox patch once and, as I won't be unpacking more boxes for a while it looks like my only option is to pay again. I still have my 1.21 licence key so I'll see if there is a way to bring up any licencing options from the Paradox game first but I suspect that doesnt happen until you install the patch and to get the patch you need to pay. Just checking in case things have changed at all. If I had JUST bought CMSF (Paradox) now, and NATO, do I STILL need to go through: 1.10 1.20 1.21 (Retail - and as I have the key already is there a way to bring up the licensing system) Install Nato 1.31 1.32 As I have a retail licnsing key I also wonder if its easier to just download CMSF trial and run the licence key from patch 1.21 (Retail) on that and then install NATO or will the licence key from 1.21 not work that way?
  7. I'm still having a bit of a problem with the sound being a little more echoey than the default sounds or with Veins Sounds etc. Maybe a I need to play with the sound settings but I have all environments and effects turned off. The one thing I'm not sure of with this is the night-time sounds I'm getting? Dogs barking and owls hooting all over the show. It is during the set up phase though so may reduce when I hit the 'Go' button for the first time. Just sounds too much like a balmy country evening in a wood listening to the local farm rather than a WWII battlefield. Otherwise I like it a lot.
  8. Me too, black-lining, looks good IMO.
  9. I think it's just luck of the draw. Many got through without intercept. I'm in Malaysia now though so may opt for download.
  10. Just had a spotting oddity here too. Three Stugs, buttoned, side on. US bazooka team approaches them in slow mode from woods, just nearing point where they will get LOS. Spotted immediately by Stugs who turn and kill. I know German optics were good but?? Quick draw Stugs, sharp as a button crews with outstanding eyesight. Lethal stuff
  11. OK, thanks. Won't ask about 'd' unless that was the Mac version.
  12. Can I confirm, is the current version c? I've seen a reference to a d and e also but can't see a link, albeit the comment about e was a quary on what it changed. I downloaded from the front page link initiually but sounds were very echoey on my system, almost as if they were being played in a big yoghurt carton. I may need to tweak the sound settings or it may be that newer versions fixes the issue?? No time to try c out just yet.
  13. May be able to accommodate but not home until Weds. Also on UTC +8.
  14. Looking forward to trying this when I'm back home
  15. Brilliant thanks. Like your other stuff too Mord :-)
  16. As a long time table top gamer (and CM player of course) whose main Allied force is modelled on US 2nd Armored, I was just wondering if there are any infantry mods out there for US Armored, or indeed vehicle? The Repository is quite a slog to go through and I've found nothing over the last few days, yet.
  17. Hi, Love your mod, used to use your stuff as a long time CMX1 Player. Just one thing with this one, and it's a persoanl preference thing. Would it be easy to create a version that retains the BF colour codings of the command buttons in the CMSA sections? I've just grown attached to them over the years and can't get used to not seeing them, particualrly as the colours releate to the paths on-screen. Acept of course I might be in a minority of one here :-D
  18. Yep, don't normally do pre-orders or collectors editions but worth it in this case IMO.
