  1. If I recall correctly, you multipyly the 'L' number by the calibre to get barrel length. ex. 75L24 = 75mm bore, 1800mm barrel length 75L43 = 75mm bore, 3225mm barrel length Now if someone would kindly explain exactly how barrel length is measured, i.e. length of rifling, bottom of firing chamber, overall length, I would appreciate that too. 2. Admiral Keith; Just a quick word of thanks for all the work you are/have putting/put into the Scenario Depot. The Depot has always been my preferred scenario download resource for CMBO, and once you have the bugs worked out, CMBB as well. Once I get home I can get cracking on some reviews for you. B
  3. Good idea for new players (and some of us old ones) Ba-Bump!
  4. Canada Post will deliver it in a plain, brown envelope approx. 10" X 8", with bubblepack inside, in the regular mail. Hope it helps. B
  5. So....... I get home tonight and check the mail.....nothing. Bummer. Oh well, had to do laundry anyway so I gather up all my stinky socks and grubby jeans and I put the first load in. I hate waiting for laundry, so I get in the elevator and head back to the apartment for more Ghost Recon: Island Thunder action (excellent game, BTW). My Apartment super is riding with me, along with his family and he says to me he says; "Oh, by the way, there's a package for you in the office." Stunned, I say; "Really!!?? I've been waiting for that." "Yah, had it a couple days, actually, I can drop it in your apartment tomorrow if you like." Resisting the urge TO RIP HIS HEAD OFF I indicate that I REALLY would like to get it tonight and voila, here it is. Man, I coulda been playin' for DAYS now, but at least, I have it. PANZERS BURN ON THE STEPPES OF OTTAWA!!!! WOO HOOO!!! (At this point the wild-eyed, capering, over-weight man scampers off into the distance, randomly assaulting total strangers with the words 'igotitigotitigotit' and so forth. Luckily for the rest of us, just as he disappears over the horizon, there is a gunshot, and things return back to normal) B
  6. Kirk; "Mr. Scott, have you always multiplied your repair times by a factor of four?!" Scotty; "Aye Sir! How else am I going to keep my reputation as a miracle worker?" I'm not a trekkie, but that line cracks me up B
  7. Nope. Tell ya what Hoop, the last one of us to get it owes the other one a beer! B
  8. Well Hoop, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a good case of 'Whine' in. Just so everyone understands, I'm not upset with BFC, but with CFC (Candian Freakin' Customs). B
  9. Sorry Nippy, already been done I've seen punts that the old timers ('round here) called 'duckfoot punts'. Basically, picture 6 to 10 2 gauge shotgun barrels laid out in the bottom of a shallow punt, like the fingers of a spread out hand. The object was to paddle out early in the morning, catch a flock of ducks sitting on the water, and get as many as you could in one shot. Apparently these were used only by professional hunters, or so I am told. B
  10. They're just being careful (and smart). Better business to deliver before a promised date, rather than after. B

  12. Funny, if I ever had to use the words RAM and CUSTOMSin the same sentence, it would have been in an entirely different context. B
  13. No contest there, you will receive it first. I have the absolute worst luck when ordering stuff online. I had hoped all my bad ordering luck had been used up with strategic command, but probably not. New Edinburgh eh? My physiotherapist is down in that neck of the woods, and Pickwick's of course. Great little pub, Pickwick's is.
  14. Actually Hoop, I've never ridden the train. Between working in the East end and the dubious pleasure of owning a vehicle, I never need to. B
  15. Wow, quite a change in climate, Italy to Canada that is. I live in the South end, not too far from the South Keys shopping centre. Although I've lived in Canada all my life, I only moved to our nation's capital in '95 from a bustling, thriving community of 400 or so. Glad you enjoyed your stay in our Country, Ottawa has it's own Little Italy (Preston Street) and I have yet to make it to EVERY Italian restaurant, but I'm slowly improving the count! Someday I hope to make it to Italy itself and try some authentic Italian cuisine, but that's for the future someday. Bart
  16. Are those Bren Gun carriers in the Italian screenshot??
  17. ......or premature itrocksulation (oh, I can hear the groans now ) B
  18. For those interested, found this webpage of info. Fallschirmjager website
  19. Of the approximately half-dozen books I have read on the Eastern Front, I cannot recall Fallschirmjagers ever being mentioned. Were they ever used on the Eastern Front? If so, where, when and in what capacity? Are they present in CMBB? Looks like I have found a new subject for me to research B
