I just want to say how impressed I am with the various websites supporting CM. The beauty of the game is evident in the ability of 3rd parties to create scenarios and mods. One request, however. With two kids in the house, sometimes I do not have time to peruse in detail all of the mods and scenarios. Would it be an issue or a problem to offer one Zipped file of all currently available scenarios at each site? This does not have to replace the listing for the individual scenarios, but would make it easier to download. Manx, I love how you have the summary for each. Excellent work. This is not to single out this site over others, but where I was just browsing! Jeff a.k.a. Speedbump

Any background to the TD shot? Most of the threads I have read here state that the TD was used in a mobile function to hunt enemy tanks. This one seems to have found a fixed position (pile of shells behind the TD)? Speedbump -

Would part of the issue be that a squad can only fire at one enemy unit at a time? I would guess (no personal knowledge) that a squad splitting fire against two units advancing on it would at least force the attackers to cover, reducing their advance. Maybe not many kills but reduced effectiveness? Currently, while one unit receives fire the other can advance without resistance. Not sure what the arguments are for or against this. Speedbump

Is there a way to find out where players are from without going through all the individual ID's? Ie Can you search against city, state or country? Wouldn't mind finding local players! Speedbump

Snake Eyes: Sorry, couldn't find the Smilie for "Tounge planted firmly in cheek"! I enjoy the game, as a matter of fact, I am on several ladders, but haven't checked my score in weeks! Speedbump -

Why so much hate for heavy tanks?

Absolutely, several threads have already referred to this, but my most recent experience: I was excited to find in a scenario sent to me by an opponent, 2 JagdTigers. Figured I could not go wrong. But sure enough by the 3rd turn one had been knocked out and the other was immobile due to AT mines. The ground was wet and I was forced to stick to the road. Both were gone in turn 4 knocked out by a Sherman and a an M-36. Short range takes the advantage of heavy armor away. :-( Speedbump -
Another day of Allied heroism
Speedbump replied to Scipio's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
So Jeff, let me get this straight, because the military city of Coventry had some residual value, it was okay to flatten it, but since Dresden was worthless, it was a waste of ammo?? Speedbump 30? -

What I want to know Jeff, is why is the military city of Dresden worthless? Speedbump -
