Have you applied the patch? Scenarios & Ops created with 1.01 will not show in the list if you are running 1.0. WWB

New Scenarios at Boots & Tracks

People are looking into the download issues. I must tell you that Raging Bulls is very, very Evil. Ony the truly diabolical could come up with such devilish ideas. And The Collective was one of my favorite scenarios to test. WWB -
more then one download site.
WWB replied to Master Dullard aka flyingcursor's topic in Combat Mission - Scenario Talk
Why one? Because, the Depot, whatever its flaws, does a better job making scenarios avaliable than anywhere else. Not that there are not others--the various scenario design teams floating about the web and personal sites with personal battles. WWB -
Chuppie cant make it on the 21st. How about the 20th, it is a day off for us federal government following slugs. We could get started nice and early, before the girls get to the bar and we scare them off. WWB

Loser. Maybe we should aim for another week? WWB

f...ing incomplete info on quick-battles!
WWB replied to Schoerner's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Well, if the original plan does not work, adjust. If you can't adjust then you dont deserve to win anyhow. Your opponent does not have dry conditions either. He has no advantage. Also, if your oppponent is reasonably honest he does not know anymore about the ground conditions when purchasing first. You just get the unit purchase screen, same as you do. No ground conditions declared for either side. Basically, what is your beef? WWB -

WWB replied to Schoerner's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
What Terrapin said. Both sides have to deal with damp ground. Move slow, I never had too many bogging problems. And if you have a KT, why do you need to move fast anyhow? WWB -

WWB replied to Schoerner's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Ground conditions and weather are not the same thing. You cannot set specific ground conditions in QBs. You can set weather. Sometimes clear skies have moist ground. In fact, the ground is usually kind of moist (CM term is damp) aside from the high summer. Take a chill pill, move the tanks slowly and get on with life. WWB -
Scenario\Web\Mod designers - Thank you
WWB replied to Green Hornet's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Thank you all for the thanks, and thanks for the generally useful feedback I have recieved from many. None of this would be worth it were there not people to play with my creations. WWB -

CMBB scenario packs: here (no more)
WWB replied to El Cid_Cagi's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Like all things this depends on ability. If you were referring to me, why would I do that when I use both extensively? And you saying that Hoopenfaust 101 is "full of sh*t", doesn't this kind of enhance his position that the CMBB forum has gone downhill?</font> -

El Cid essentially violated a community convention--asking permission before reposting something. Some people called him out on this. A few of them might have gone a bit overboard. As for scenario designers not being artists, I must say you are full of ****. If it is so easy, put your money where your mouth is--spend 20 hours in front of the computer clicking on your mouse and make a quality battle. Then see how you feel as your work is distributed through channels you neither know of nor approve of without your knowlege and consent. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the treats that many like myself have given to you all freely, only asking for a little common courtesy. There are also other sorts of artists. The nice folks who make very well developed fansites, like the depot, freely and of thier own accord. I happen to do a bit of web design myself, and I must say that making some kind of searchable site with dynamic, multiple-file download features is very, very difficult. It is not on the short list of technologies which I would develop for free, in my own time. UFD, if you think it is so easy, why dont you buy some webspace and spend the next 3 months getting friendly with PHP & MySQL? WWB -
I am in. I vote for in the city somewhere--metro accessable and centrally located. Plus, I dont go outside the beltway. It is a bad, bad land of tract housing and strip malls from what I hear. WWB

1) Reinstall CM to get the CD battles--they are not avaliable for download anywhere. 2) Look at the Scenario Depot, especially the CMBB section's Lists for the Top 10 over 3 PBEM battles. WWB EDIT: This somehow has landed in the wrong thread. Scary. [ January 06, 2003, 05:36 PM: Message edited by: wwb_99 ]

On surrender, you should get all the exit points for still-living units in CMBB. There is a trick to keep the AI from surrendering, I might do an update to keep this from happening. WWB

Actually, radio spotters should be slower to FFE. Anyone with a modern cell phone can see how fraught with problems 50 year old radio technology could be, especially when people are getting shot at. WWB

WWB replied to El Cid_Cagi's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
What Franko said. I did not realize you had attempted to contact B&T and it fell on deaf ears. If you need something from us in the future dont hesitate to contact me or Scott Boston (our Team Leader who is the one you should talk to anyhow). I would read my dont ever do that comment as never include things in such a pack without my express consent. When the first big version of CMMOS (a mod switching program) came out, the modders got together and tracked down the chain of authors for everything involved. That was alot harder than tracking down individual scenario authors. WWB
