Not many. 00000131.wav through 00000137.wav are all of the vehicle sounds. Pretty sure that's all of them. I believe they are the same files as CMBO so you could try swapping those files over to CMBB as another possible solution. I brought over my heavy tank sound (00000134.wav, used for Tigers, etc. anything over 50 tons I think) because it has a heavy bass rumble to it that seemed appropriate for the Big Cats. BTW, I did what you are thinking about and decreased the volume of the fire sound (00000300.wav) severely because it sounded like a blowtorch halfway across the map. Used Windows Sound Recorder and decreased the volume 200%. Blends into the background much better now. Keith

Rob, CMMOS is a free program that is developed and tested on people's own (often limited) free time. We do the best we can with the time and resources available. Sorry you are experiencing so much trouble. I have posted some step-by-step instructions in a thread to help you and others having trouble. It can be found here. Keith

Click on the Configure button. 5.) From the configuration window, make sure you have the RuleSet tab selected. 6.) Click on the Add button. Now browse to the directory where you downloaded the RuleSet zip file to in step 1 and double-click on that file. You should now have a RuleSet installed. A quick suggestion for those having trouble: Check out the readme.rtf file in the CMMOS program directory (usually located C:\Program Files\GEM Software Productions\CM Mod Option Selector) as it explains in a step-by-step method how to install RuleSets and mods using the new method introduced in version 4.00. If you are still having trouble after going through the readme, post back here and I'll provide a step-by-step example of how to get things working with 4.00. It's really easy after you've done it once and a better method for installing and organizing mods than the previous versions. Keith

I'll forward these on to the CM Mod Database for a permanent home until I find some time to work on an East Front version of "The Sound of Music" for CMMOS (Philippe, you out there?). phil, Gordon does have a few goodies in the pipe for a release. No ETA. We might include some of the recent mods as well but I'm not sure. Depends on the time frame for release. Keith

Lawyer, I wasted a lot of time trying to download good copies of individual songs I wanted. I finally gave up and ordered the CDs from amazon.com or bought them at a store. The soundtrack to Gladiator was one I picked up because of "The Battle" but there is much more on the disc that made it worthwhile. I also bought several CDs with Wagner and Mozart to get a good collection of their best works. I just don't like buying a whole CD for one or two songs I want all of the time. Gets a bit expensive. No problem. That was were I first heard this song as well. It plays again and again throughout the movie. Little did I know how fitting it was. Great movie. BTW, I was thinking about switching between "Gotterdammerung" for the final battles and "Valkyries" for Barbarossa up to right after Kursk. Seems the music would be very fitting, especially for the German player. For the Soviets, I've got a couple of ideas for tunes that might work. The Soviet National Anthem and the opening soundtrack from "The Hunt for Red October". I used to have that one but lost it in a hard drive crash. I'm sure a couple of minutes on Kazaa would yield results. Also, Philippe had the "Sound of Music" CMMOS mod for CM:BO. At least the German songs would still apply and I could add these new classical tunes. Sounds like a job for CMMOS! EDIT: Some other tune possibilities would be an exerpt from the 1812 Overture for the Soviets, the "Battle" music from the movie Gladiator (either side) and Mars by Holst (either side). I saw the ads for this yesterday afternoon. Tried to watch it without laughing my ass off. Very bad. I think the John Kettler quote about samuari would be very appropriate with this production. Worst part was the narrator overall but also how he kept mispronouncing names of towns and locations. Pas de Calais, Stavelot and Salm River were just a few he got wrong that I remember off the top of my head. Keith

Rex, Would that be Sigfried's Funeral March from Gotterdammerung? If so, yes I have that one as well. It's a pretty good version (at least I think it is) and I agree, one of if not the best piece of Wagner. Let me know if I've got it right and I'll upload that one as well. Keith

I would recommend dBPowerAmp. It's free and very easy to use. Has hooks into Windows Explorer so you can convert music by right-clicking on files. Keith

That would be me. Might be someone else out there who did this as well. I do have a full release version. It is in MP3 format, zipped and is about 4.5MB. For those having trouble downloading from Tom's site, try this. If you are using Internet Explorer 1.) Go to the Tools menu, then click on the Internet Options... menu item. 2.) On the Internet Options dialog box, click on the Advanced tab. 3.) Now scroll through the list and make sure the following items are set as listed: - Enabled Folder view for FTP sites (unchecked) - Use Passive FTP (checked) - Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections (checked) 4.) Now go to the General Tab and click on the Delete Files... button. Then click on the Clear History button. 5.) Close Internet Explorer. 6.) Now start Internet Explorer again, go to Tom's site and try downloading. Hopefully this works for others as it worked for me. I was getting the "Anonymous access denied" (or somefink) error as well. After changing Internet Explorer to these settings, it works fine now. BTW, I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1. EDIT: It doesn't always work the first time. If you still get the message, keep clicking the link. Eventually it will work. I'm not even sure now that the above setting changes make a difference but they can't hurt. Strange indeed. Le Tondu, Some other people were having trouble downloading from Tom's CMHQ site as well. There were some suggestions in this thread that resolved the issue for some. Maybe give a few of these a try and see if it helps. Tom, Is it possible to allow HTTP downloads instead of FTP? It might resolve the download problems. Keith
