  1. Same as in CMBO: 5000 points maximum (not counting attacker's advantage or any force additions). Some more pics: Romanian tanks (the mesh is back...): M-17: a .50cal quad halftrack: The sound of those four machine guns is intimidating and this 'thing' is a real killer Marcus [ September 21, 2002, 04:01 AM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  2. This simulates the fear of the tank crew of getting hit by something bigger. In fact you personally have more knowledge than they have: You KNOW that there are only 20mm Flak guns, they don't. So if their tank is immobilized, they can easily imagine that the enemy will use bigger guns to finish them off or maybe field some Panzervernichtungstrupps. Schönen Abend noch.. 3. Just some more pics: Russian ski troops Axis infantry (from left to right): Romanian Inf/Luftwaffe Ground Inf/Hungary Inf/Gebirgsjäger officer/the (in-)famous Waffengrenadiere /Paratroops Allied infantry (from left to right): Naval officer/Partisan/Guards Inf/Guards officer/Naval Inf/Paratroops Russian T-44 tank Some tank status data (as requested)
  4. Just had a look into the game: Confirmation! The IS3 still uses the textures of the IS2. So we'll have to wait for a patch. Marcus
  5. It was chosen as a IS3, but perhaps it's one of those "still-to-be-done" vehicles. 1942: As mentioned before, the scenario was done with the editor to get vehicles from different years (e.g. you can't buy a KV-2 in 1945). Marcus
  6. Yep, I got it from Mediamarkt in Koblenz/Mülheim-Kärlich. Marcus
  7. Parabellum, yes that was a nice duel. And we (watching the game from the KV-1) were wondering why our opponents just started laughing. As requested, here are some more pictures: Finnish troops kill an IS-3 with a molotov cocktail. Time for revenge. A KV-2 wipes out attacking Über-Finns. Some Finnish guns Captured Russian tanks now in Finnish colors Two Panzer II Marcus [ September 20, 2002, 08:51 AM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  8. A picture with captured and lend-lease tanks (plus an ISU-122 tank). A partially rubbled factory in the background. Marcus [ September 19, 2002, 06:45 PM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  9. Tools4fools, I got the game an hour ago from Mediamarkt here in Koblenz. They had plenty of them... Marcus
  10. Finally the ultimate destruction by a M1A1 Abrams: He had some problems not to get immobilized by the bricks: Here's a close-up of the tread as the bricks were crunched: M1A1 Abrams moving away, leaving back some remnants of a paved road: Finally, a Panther moving between the people on the parking lot of the museum. See you all again next year, Marcus [ September 07, 2002, 07:46 PM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  11. And this is how the pavement looked after the first tank: Few vehicles later: a bridgelayer tank "Biber" And here's his "impact" on the road: [ September 07, 2002, 06:39 PM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  12. "THE ROAD INCIDENT" - or why we need rubbled pavement doodads. This is the pavement area where all vehicles turned around and moved back to their starting position. Here you can see a Kettenkrad: This is an Opel Blitz. The pavement is still in perfect condition. Here comes the first tank: the recovery tank "Bison" [ September 07, 2002, 06:35 PM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  13. Here's a short After-Action-Report of our meeting in Koblenz: Walking outside of the museum: From left to right: Warphead, Lindan, Mensch, tools4fools, Parabellum (not on picture: Apex and mike8g) A 8,8cm Flak needs some closer inspection: Tools4fools: "Hey, there are Italian markings on it !" 14. CMBO adopts the screen resolution from your desktop when it is started the very first time and saves this into the prefs file. When you have the intention to run CMBO at another screen resolution, you'll have to delete this file first: combat mission bynd ovr prefs Afterwards you can change your screen resolution and start CMBO. 15. This topic has been posted 'bout three weeks ago, but I'd like to revive it as we have further information. 1. We (the guys from the first offical German CM meeting in Sinsheim and from the German CMBB preview party) will meet some hours before in order to: - have fewer vehicles to drive to the museum (crowded parking lots !!) - have enough time to visit a good Biergarten before and - have time to discuss news & experiences with the CMBB demo Anybody who is interested is invited to join our little party at almost any point. Just send an email to mike8@lycos.com and I will give you the details about our meeting before. We can also discuss when and where we can pick you up. See you on the 7th, Marcus [ September 07, 2002, 07:48 PM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
  16. Looks cool. Just for your information: There's a hi-res winter mod available for the SdKfz 7. Marcus
  17. I found something in the CDV-Forum http://www.cdv-download.de/vb/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=20542&perpage=15&pagenumber=2 (Second post, from 'Kobra') This is a part from the posting written by a guy, who seems to be a beta-tester and the webmaster of www.gamershall.de Ich habe nun die US Beta mir sehr genau angeschaut und auch schon die deut. bzw. engl. Demos von CDV, die ab 1.9. erscheinen werden und diese laufen prima. Wir werden ab Anfang September dieses Demo bei uns zum Download anbieten, aber ich denke auch CDV wird es auf ihrer Seite hier tun. Translation: I just had a closer look at the US beta version and the German and English demo from CDV which will be released starting with Sept, 01th and they all run fine. We (www.gamershall.de) will offer this demo for download at the start of September, but I think CDV will do the same from their site. Just to get this right: This was not an official statement from BFC or CDV and has not been officially confirmed. But it looks like that at least you guys outside from Germany won't have to wait for someone to send you a copy of that PC magazine. Marcus [ August 21, 2002, 04:12 PM: Message edited by: mike8g ]
