Hi Thanks for the replys , i guess i will leave it at 4x as it looks ok and runs fine like that . Im buying Combat missions 2 tomorrow so i will be playing that for a little while , will i get the same problems with that game ? Richard Keen

Hi I have a problem with Combat mission (OB) in that when i select 2xAA or Quiucunx it doesnt load it just stops with a black screen and the words "CDV presents ...." if i use 4x and over it loads up ok . I have a GF4 ti 4400 and im using the 30.00 drivers ( for now as i normally use the 40.72s ) on Win 98se . Does any one else have this problem? Thanks Richard Keen

Hi Ive been using CM for just pver a week now and i think its fantastic but i may have some graphical problems , when the screen is still the graphics look ok but as i move the mouse / curser so that i can view the map the trees and roofs seem to shimmer or shake or some thing like that , its a bit hard to explain but i see a simler affect when i change the mip mapping level in riva tuner to -3 in any other game . I have a GF 4 ti 4400 and im using the 30.00 drivers . I hope you under stand this , i also hope this is normal lol lol . Richard Keen

Hi I fixed the problem last night , as a last resort as nothing else seemed to work i went into the bios and lowered the AGP setting from 128 to 64 and it works great now , funny as ive always been told that a higher AGP setting or half your mem is better ( ive never tryied 256 althou i have 512 mem of mem )but in this case its not the case so im leaveing the setting at 64 . Hi Thanks for the tips but it was still the same , but i have fixed the problem another way , i thought i would try some else as a last resort ( why is it always the last thing we try that works lol lol ? ) , i went into the bios and lowered my AGP setting from 128 to 64 ( i have 512 meg of mem )and every thing works now , i can select every setting and it works fine . Depending on what driver you use you cant use the Minus mip maping option , this is due to a bug in the drivers after the 23.11 s i think , you can patch the driver using Riva tuner so you can use minus mip mapping but dont go to the full setting of -3 as you will see a lot of shimmering etc etc , a good setting to use is a max of -1 , in fact the older divers default setting of 0.0, or best image in the display settings, is the newer drivers setting of 0.5 . Hi I have this problem with CO.BO in that the game runs fine if i set my desk top to 1600x1200 but when i change to to a lower setting the game freazes after the intro with just "CDV presents " onscreen , if i press ESC i can see combat missions in the toolbar so i click on it and i can get to the CM menu but i see lines going off to the right from the letters . I have deleted the file in the CM folder ( cant remember which one ) and done the space bar trick to disable the intro but it still happens , the res im trying is 1280x1024 . As ive said the game runs fine in 1600x1200 but im worryied that it will slow down in big battles but so far its ok . Does any one have any ideas please .

Hi As some of you know i am new to this game so it must be some thing im doing wrong , i can play the game only in 1600x1200 but when i change screen res the game stops just after the intro , if i press ESC it goes to the desk top with Combat missions at the bottem in the toolbar , when i click on this it then goes to the main menu of but i see lines coming off the letters going right ( is there any way to do a screen shot and post this ? ). My PC is an AMD 2000xp 512 meg ddr mem Windows 98 se GF 4 ti 4400 ( 30.00 drivers ) Sound blaster audio 16 PCI AGP ( in bios )set at 128 Any thing else i need to add ? When i play the game at 1600x1200 i think its great , the detail of the tanks etc etc is superb , if CM 2 is as good as this i will be getting that as well .
