  1. Before going into the editor besure that in parameters you set Italy instead of North Africa. You can then set dates in 44 and 45
  2. Yes the fog adds to the dismal, stark and gritty appeal of scenarios atmosphere-kinda like the atmosphere that was so good in Mishmish and Small Battles, East of Elba
  3. In the last scenario I managed to achieve that look using soft ground as the standard "ground" and used others types of terrain then set the weather to snow
  4. There will be a few more Korean ones after I complete a gang of 1940 ones that are crowding up the CMAK editor.
  5. As you requested J2D a Korean Scenario is up at the Depot. A small historical infantry action between the Americans and the Chinese, 'Small Battles, Outpost Eerie, 1952'
  6. You can get a ATG into a building by placing the gun using the editor in open terrain then putting a building over them.
  7. Has anyone read this book or constructed scenarios out of it? Biography of a Battalion, by James A Huston, Courier Press, 1950 no ISBN History of 3rd Battalion, 134th Regiment, US 35th Infantry

  9. I always have in the scenario the following piece of info in the "for all briefing" Difficulty: German: Difficult Danish: Challenging Balance: Pro-German German: 1,250 Danish: 900 However some player HATE knowing the exact numbers so I do some scenarios with FOW. You can get a general idea from the size of the scenario, but as WWB points out the actual 'size' can be misleading. Best way is to ask on this forum or look in the editor.
  10. In researching the Danish contribution to WWII I came across a small incident, unfortunately too small for making into a scenario, but I thought the readers here might find interesting.... "The Danes too had their "V" weapon and wanted vengence! With WW2 approaching the end, Danish underground forces obtained a scraped Ford 2 ton truck and improvised it into an armored car. Finally ready on 5 May 1945, it was composed of steel plates and a steel drum for a turret. The V3 was never used against the occupying German forces as they had surrendered before the V3 was completed, but it was used on one occasion against Danish collaborators in Frederiksvaerk. The Germans had recruited large numbers of Danes to act as terrorist gangs during the war; while German forces capitulated peacefully, the Danes in Nazi service continued to fight in a short, small-scale civil war. The V3's only combat was the capture of the Lorenzen gang, who were hiding in a summer cabin in Frederiksvaerk. The V3 turned up at the cabin, and fired a warning shot at the cabin. A gang member looked out, panicked, and shot himself in the head. His bullet, as well as killing him, hit the armored car. The V3 machine gunner opened fire on the house, but stopped when they realized there was no return fire. The house was stormed and the gang, along with a number of heavy weapons and much ammunition, were captured. There were 18 men and one woman in the house; 1 killed himself, and 2 were killed and 5 wounded by the V3. After this action the V3 toured Northern Zealand and then Copenhagen on a sort of promotional tour. While the V3 has a number of bullet holes in it, apparently only one of them, in the passenger side door, was from enemy action. The rest are from what Barfod describes as "target practice". No explanation of why they used their own armored car for target practice is given."
  11. w00t!!!!!!! Revelations by Moon!!!!!! </font>
  12. Thanks Admiral! Hey another small item you might want to look at, two reviews were done of Small Battles, Row at Colougne, 1940 but only one seems to show up as having been done? Reviews by Cpt Cook and Marc S
  13. Chaco, Chaco....great little war if you like gross incompetence, utterly horrible terrain and bad logistical support. The war that gave small wars a bad name.
  14. Gentlemen, Do any of you have access to the Armor Magazine back issues and more importantly the listing of previous articles? If so pleaee see the topic by Panther Commander on some info he is looking for.

  16. That would be an interesting action to CM. I ask because years ago I believe I read about that tank in the US Army's Armor magazine, out of Ft Knox, that name, 'in the mood' stuck in my mind. See if you can find a list of Armor articles or try contacting the Librarian at the Armor school at Ft. Knox....at least I hope it was the Armor magazine! We may have some US Armor guys here on the forum too. Oh I'm talking 1970-1980 or there abouts
  17. That was, indeed, impressive. I'd like to know if he simply had the worst case of 'double post' in recent history, or see what he might have deleted... </font>
  18. Yeah I hear ya, I like the 'oddities' also which is why a Danish 1940 scenario is coming and also a bizarre Chaco war scenario.
  19. Seanachai You are fine, however... We didn't want to say anything but yes, you should be taking supplements. We recommend at least half a kilo of overaged canned goods that have been left in a warm room since the bloom of the cold war.
  20. J2D Scenario completed in rough draft and sent to you and Lucho. A Korean CM? By itself there not enough material, as part of a cold war or post wwII conflict expansion disk, yep it might have some interest. But the main interest of the CM crowd will remain centered on Germany and its conflicts with the Allies.
  21. J2D You are in luck, I had done a map of Korea, trying to design for that stark, wintery hills look, that was based on a map about a small historic attack. I have completed it. Small Battles, Outpost Eerie, 1952 will be sent to you for a 'look see' later today after I finish internal playtesting. Hans Scenarios on demand
