Mine comes from back when I was playing F15 Eagle on an old Tandy 1000 286,I had this Army buddy who came up with the name after a long night on the Strass drinking and striking out with the local women (I was stationed in Aschaffenburg Germany at the time)Those were great times and the name just kinda stuck. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!!

I think Vanir hit it on the head;I'd like to add the German's were having considerable problems putting out good quality steel at that point in the war,although I don't know if CM takes that into account. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!!

I'm a modeler too,like you guys say it's pretty easy to build one;quite another to make look realistic.The Verlinden line of accesories are an excellent source of things like backpacks,ammocans,and all the little stuff that can make the differance between an average and excellent model. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!! Is it possible to have any unarmed vehicle go into panic mode as soon as it's shot at? IMO that would make it pretty useless for recon purposes as it would haul a@# as soon as it started taking fire. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!! I use an AMD K2 300 with 64MB's RAM and a Voodoo 3 2000 and the game runs great at hi-res. I got the card for $99.95 U.S. about a year ago so I imagine they're much cheaper now. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!!

Earlier this morning I was playing a scenario that involved a German company sized combined arms element ambushing a vastly superior American force;my guys were being overwhelmed by Shermans(basically I was getting my a#$ kicked! ),when all of a sudden one of my Pionner squads without any direction from me attacked a M8 Greyhound with satchel charges!Man, it was amazing! Even though my valiant boys took 6 casualties they pressed the attack and took out they offending M8 and prevented a breakthrough.(at least for a little while)I must have watched that one 10 times because it was just so cool! ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!!

Personally I love the graphics in CM,they're very distinctive,and with all those mods available out there they only look better,BTS should concentrate on the game engine and the AI,let the mod folks handle the visual stuff. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!!
