  1. *ahem* Excuse me? Either way, 'MY' country is better then 'YOUR' country!! 'MY' dad can beat up 'YOUR' dad!! 'MY' - holy s@it *barely ducks heavy object flung at his head* Chill down before BTS closes this thread, ya'll ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back" [This message has been edited by The Commissar (edited 02-24-2001).]
  2. Aussie Jeff, An excellent idea! I still wish we could somehow produce smoke when a volley fires though Napoleon, I plan to do some rules and several fictional maps at first, to see how it works. Then, if some are interested, maybe go beyond this and get a few folks to do the mods and research the terrain. It will never be 'realistic' but it can be something. I curse my rotten luck with my computer, and the fact that the computer I am now on cannot support CM ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  3. I LIKE using weak-ish units. I get more units that way! I always thought quantity can indeed beat out quality in the right hands. Sometimes, I dont use any bloody tanks at all! I like playing all infantry battles. You are not a CM'er until you assault a AP Gun possition backed up by a heavy building full of infantry with 60 metres of "no man's land" all around it using nothing but infantry and artillerly! Man, that gives me a rush. Especially when I actually take said positions ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  4. ...Mace opened up a can of chilly. "Mmm-mmm, nothing beats Chilly!" Mace thought. "Well...maybe that threesome I had in the back of the barn with Farmer Ted and his best sheep Nilly, but that's besides the point." With one mighty swallow, Mace gulped down the cold, slimy contents of the can. Then, with jet power quite literlaly behind him, Mace was launched out of the water with a loud and foul smelling sound right at his unsuspecting and totally grosed-out victim, who at that very moment... 5. Welcome to the forum, Ed! So far, this is not possible. However, you can preserve the battles by viewing each film file one at a time. Not as dramatic to be sure, but at least its something. Cheers! ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  6. Here here! Seriously Rommel, dont mind the sarcastic tone of some people. They just want to be recognized for what they did. I guess I would be ticked off too if I was a Brit/Canadian/Pol/French/whatnot... ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  7. ...that commi person who posted milliseconds after me had to edit his beautiful work-of-art messege? Mace thought about that. Wouldnt it make that freak mad? Wouldnt having his ingenious nature bested by a bestiality-inticed fruit like myself make him very, very mad? Do I care? Just then, out of the corner of his eye, Mace witnessed some sort of weird creature leaping at him, tire iron in hand, screaming "I'll kill you for making me edit my post, biatch!" Mace had a second to react...

  9. What would be the best way for your typical modern infantry man, without any AT assets (like Stingers missiles or a similar contraption) to take out something like an M1 in close quarters? I assume the tracks are "sensitive" enough to be immobilized with something like a bundle of grenades. What could, however, knock out a beast of that sort? Keeping in mind the hatch is closed, of course. I thought vision/aiming slots, but I've had the pleasure to see a M1 up close and they are rather small. Do Inf. today carry anything in the ilk of Panzerfausts? Tanks in advance! ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  10. ...from around the corner ran out a ravenous, screaming mob of middle-aged men covered in a fine layer of what appeared to be cow doo-doo. Mace, caught quite literlaly, with his pants down, could only mumble "W-what de feck's all this, now, wot?" "We're from the latest Maneuver thread" babbled one of the maniacs. "Listen here, mate, do you believe that maneuver is a fine art with which one can (insert 6 hours worth of boring theories here)?" "Frankly, lads" Mace said, yawning wide from his recent nap, "I think the lot of you are bonkers! Forget the whole bloody thing and go take a chill pill or somefink! You'll give yourself a heart attack. Just play the damn game and shut the feck up!" The maneuverists looked at each other, completely stupified. "Why, for a sheep-shagging little freak, Mace, you're quite the..."
  11. ...or 4 or 5. Im not too sure. I have been foolish enough to DISTURB the mutha-freckin' faq thread and have an imbecile respond to my harmless little messege instead of Gustavs! Argh! Im such a fool. Well, pardon while I shoot myself. And just when Bates was about to pull the trigger...
  12. I like all the stuff being said. Wonder when BTS will choose to make an apprearance and tell us it cant be included? ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  13. What the -beep- is Crodaberg? If such a thing really exist, and is not just the fevored imagination of a pimply geek with no social life, can someone (meaning Croda) send me a copy?
  14. Goodness, that downright hurt. Oh, what now, you said something? Im sorry, I was picturing what you would look like in person. Now piss off and let me think of an insult fitting enough for one such as yourself. I got one! Piss off - no, wait...
  15. Man youre weird. Too bad the studying didnt get you any more grey matter, you pansy-GICombat-messege-board-posting-fool.
  16. Flattery wont work, buddy. However, I am partial to a good shoe licking. Yeah, thats better.
  17. This isnt the RPG thread, RPG boy. Then again, I dont belong here neither, but Ill post until it gets boring/people abuse me. Still...your weird sexual preferences freak me out. And stay away from my dog, you!
  18. Ugh, yet another disgusting and mutilated offspring from that Survivor crap. First Temptation Island, now this! Then again, if that means Mace is going to cheat on Kitty with a sheep while the sheep sleeps with...oh forget it. Can you tell I have nothing to do and am reduced to posting here? Ugh...now I feel all icky. Cherri-o EDIT: Now I feel even ickier for having to edit something that short for spelling mistakes. Double Ugh. [This message has been edited by The Commissar (edited 02-21-2001).]
  19. AAAAA! It's the Phantom of the 6pdr !! Run away, run away! ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  20. Great, so my #2 would be realistic, at least. How would it affect game balance, however? How much points would be allowed for partisans? I think it should depend on the size of your regular forces. some 15-25% of your total forces could be partisan. ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  21. Actually, the roots of the word in question has its beginning in that mockery of english otherwise known as ebonics. You know, slang which the Board of Ed. actually wanted to teach as a foreign language? Mayhaps our dear friend was a test subject of this higher education? One can only guess, and then bow their head, and start crying.
  22. This brings back memories... Any of you old timers remember that "JOHEN PIPER" guy who wrote everything in capital letters and posted death camp pictures on the forum?
  23. Maximus2k, Ill back up Mr. Williams on this one. You see, most people on this forum are adults, or at least mature young people. They dont go around yelling slang - thats for uneducated simpletons (no offense meant to yourself). If you want to be funny, use some wit and try not to cuss too much. Most of us dont appreciate foul language unless it is used creatively. -- NOTE: Calling someone a brownnosing bich is not creative. -- Cheers!~ ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  24. Major Tom, I see several different ways to handle an "ambush" or "partisan" type scenario in CM. 1) Make the objective of the ambushed party to get off the map. This would require going along some sort of route in a given amount of time, with points based on how little casualties you take. I think we already have something like this in CM. 2) In a regular battle, have the option for the Soviet player to buy special partisan units. These could come as reinforcement I suppose from behind the enemy lines. Or they could be deployed behind enemy lines in a QB. Points would be expanded as usual, and a limit would be placed on the amount you can purchase. This would achieve the "ambush" effect quite well, seeing as how the enemy doesnt know if you purchased partisan units. #2 leads to some questions Im not one to answer, however. Mainly, did partisans work in some coordination with regular army units, or were they completely seperate? If they did, then purchasing them as units would be realistic. If they didnt, it wouldnt be. Comments? ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
  25. Jason, By "spark" I meant nothing magical, but rather the eagarness and energetic way Napoleon used to lead his forces in his earlier campaigns. This, from what Ive read, was laregely gone by the time of Waterloo. Can't really blame him, of course. He was nearing - what - 50 or 60? Cant remember clearly at the moment. Cheers! ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
