1. What year did the Germans start painting camo on their armour? All the early war film footage I have seen, including the early years of Barbarossa, have them in the standard grey. Only in the late Russian and Normandy footage do I see camo patterns popping up. Does anyone have any documentation of when it actually became a standard practice? ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?
 2.
quote:
Originally posted by Maxx: (I did a search ) Still looking for a decent mp3 of 'Wenn die Soldaten'. Has anyone come across one? Actually any of the music used in World at War would be helpful (as mp3's). Thanks

No, but have you heard Brittny Spears' latest cd? I just love listening to her while playing CM! ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?

 9. I've got a ton of plastic napoleonics (the small stuff) to unload cheap if anybody is interested. Prussian and British mostly. Unpainted still on the sprues and mostly unopened. (Hat, airfix, Italeri etc...) Ahhh, the army that was never built. Sigh.
 10. Can anyone tell me what units/organizations (if any) contained the various Czech tanks in the German army at the outset of the 1941 Russian campaign? Were they still in use at this time or were they all being converted to Self-propelled guns at this stage? [This message has been edited by Red Devils (edited 10-07-2000).]
 11. I have gamed w/ miniatures for years (15/20/25/28/54mm) but am just planning to move into 6mm WWII. Therefore I need recomendations on figures (6mm), terrain, and rules. I am interested in Regimental to divisional size battles (no 1:1 stuff) dealing w/ the early war years ('39 to '42). If you recommend a particular rule set please include why and what the scale of the game is. Thanks in advance for any responses. Please feel free to post any 6mm army pics. as well. Cheers. ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?
 12. Sorry, afraid there are only shadows. I can't speak for BTS but I think that they figured the amount of memory needed to do the different nations planes would have likely slowed the games playing speed to a crawl on most users machines. Maybe in CM2 if you ask really really nicely. ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?
 13.
quote:
Originally posted by 109 Gustav: What do you mean, Red Devil?

I read in a post here quite a while back that the names of squad leaders in CM were taken from actual board members right here! I guess for CM2 your name will have to be German, Slavic, Hungarian, Italian or Finnish. So much for us Irish! ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. 14. I heard that this was done in CM1! ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?
 15. Yes, I still play this. I was not very impressed w/ the scenarios included in the original game. I am thinking about picking up the mission pack #1 w/ extra scenarios but I wanted to know if anyone else has it and likes it. Also, what battles come in the expansion pack. Thanks for any info.
 16. All the cheese that those frogs eat leaves alot of gas build up in french houses. I think that's why they blow up. ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else? [This message has been edited by Red Devils (edited 10-02-2000).]
 17. Fear not oh you who doubt the sniper! Yes, I too doubted their power but low, I am a believer. After having played every scenario and op. in CM (some as both sides) and having not seen much done by snipers at last one earned his schnaps ration. While playing Op Carentan (my favorite) for the third time I had a FJ sniper take out a US 3-man mg team in the open in one turn. Well done! Ok , so it took me 150 to 200 games to get a good kill, you can't say it doesn't happen! ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?
 18. Not much here that I can add that hasn't been well spoken already. But I am in favor of a unit "rarity" point system. Thanks for asking CM. ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?

 20. Pvt. "You're gonna shoot me over Ryan?" Srgnt. "No, I'm gonna shoot you cause I don't like you." Pvt. "Well go ahead Sarge. Shoot me in my leg and give me that million-dollar ticket home." Srgnt."I'm gonna shoot you in your big, fat mouth."
 21. I just checked. It's George Nafziger. If you do a search on this site for his name you will find his site. It should have more info than you need.
 22.
quote:
Originally posted by Jagdcarcajou: Hey all, I'm putting the finishing touches on an article for the CM Recon site, and I could use a bit of help. Do any of you have any recommendations for a good publisher of U.S. and Brtitish Army OOBs or unit histories? I already have Fedorowicz for the Axis, but I don't know much about the Allies. Any insights are appreciated. Hopefully the article will be up tonight! Chris

Hi. Sorry, I don't know his full name or his web address, but there is a man w/ the last name of " Nafziger" who has published OOBs for just about every army and battle in history. If you do a search w/ any search engine you should come across his site. ------------------ I'm sorry, we haven't the facilities to take all of you prisoner. Was there anything else?
