CM was intended to simulate the actual combat at the front, where tank riders are probably inappropriate, at least on the Western Front, but many players like to make huge maps and simulate getting to the battle in addition to the actual fighting. It would be in those situations where tank riders would be nice to have, but it's not a priority.

I just saw on Steam that the PS3 version is going to be released today.
-
Battlefront's argument for not coding in tank riding in CMBN is their same argument for not coding in horses and motorcycles in CMx1: battle has been joined and thus there's no need to display transport capabilities that would not be important to actually fighting a battle.
I think the real reason is all the work involved in making decent animations of the men climbing on and off.

Awesome. Now I've got wood.

Maybe the radios are perfectly good, but they were delivered with the wrong crystals.

Well according to the Preorder announcement the module was 4-6 weeks away and today is exactly 6 weeks so hopefully today will be the day.
That was an estimate, not a guarantee. But I'm pretty sure it will be released before the BFC team goes on Spring Break.
-
I don't know, but to be safe you could make a copy of your Z folder and then restore it if the module somehow messes it up.

I've never seen troops fire at unspotted targets, but I have seen them fire where they knew the enemy had been previously.

Don't you get this? Game, engine improvements, bugfixes are not part of a module.
They're part of the patch that was simultaniously and will be released simultaniously.
What these improvements will is yet totally unknown to us mortals.
I remember though, that someone of the staff has mentioned nothing was done on spotting issues, which is kinda sad imho.
To clear this up a bit, AFAIK, the patch will only contain bug fixes and tweaks, not enhancements or new features. Those are part of a new game, not a module. The patch is automatically incorporated into the module. It is available as a separate download for those that choose not to purchase the module.
This doesn't mean that BFC will never include game enhancements in a patch or module, but since they said it is not their intent to do so, you should not expect it. And if you don't expect it then you can't be disappointed.

So what in game mechanics terms is new? If none then is this just a TOE exercise with new vehicles.
If so-then why has this module taken 8 months to do?
The motorpool now has British mechanics.

I read it with my pinkies extended.

From the manual:
Bren Mk2 Light Machinegun
Yadda yadda yadda…. It is fitted with a bipod but can also be mounted on a tripod or vehicle mounted.
Yay!

I use a Microsoft mouse on my MacBook Air. I tried the CMBO demo on it (late 2010 version) and it barely ran with all settings at minimum. You really need a computer with a dedicated graphics card if you want acceptable performance.
So, the answer is get a MacBook Pro and a Microsoft mouse.

When will it be done?
When it's finished.
-
It will be released when it's ready. It will be ready when it's done.

Would using the "Forever" stamps have helped?
No, that just determines how long it takes to arrive.

That's the Kubelwagen Sdkfz 231.

Is it possible their morale was too low to give aid?

Damn you guys are old. I havent aged since CMBO.
I was 32 when CMBO came out and the years since then have all been a blur.

I really like CMBN. I have no problems at all with the interface and I don't understand what those who do have problems with it are doing. But I am not having as much fun with CMBN as I did with CMx1. I think it simply comes down to the fact that CMBN is more challenging, which I think is a combination of 1:1 modelling - which means I am more aware of my losses, and that the AI is so much better - especially its effective use of arty. I find myself getting discouraged too easily. I also miss the simplicity of CMx1's quick battles. I am still struggling a bit with the force selection. I tried a few QBs under 1.01 and the automatic force selection is unsatisfying. I will continue to play CMBN for years to come, and I look forward to the modules to flesh out the forces, but I am not having as much fun as I did in CMx1. I hope that will change over time as I become more familiar with and get used to it.

When is 1.02 coming out?

For confusion's sake, just call it the Commonwealth Module "CM."
