Coming Attractions (Mod Previews) UPDATED!
Bruno Weiss replied to Gordon's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Now Michael Dorosh... Ya can't blame a hard fitting modder for wanting a lil R&R. A little wine, a lil cheese, a tad bit o Ooo oui-oui likely put a spring in any fellers step. The important thing is, ole Gordon's back with a vengence. Hot doggies! Jess like ole times. -
Nah, I'm in Maryland but I'm from West Virginia. WEll I were just funning me ole friend and ole pal Tanks a lot. I din mean no harm, harnest! Now, bout that pillbox mod by Tanks. Where's a feller ta find it? That were the goodest mod I ever seed. Now I can't seem to get ahold of the cotton picker ta get me a copy of that mod. What I'm gonna do? Could go out in the front lawn and shove that old washin machine into the crick I guess. Dog gone it, where's Tanks?!?
-
Tanks a lot... TANK man, what's going on? I mean, what the devil is going on??? I wrote to ya and I get some email from your firewall saying I'm spamming ya? Spam spam-sa spam spam... Now, besides not being able to write to Tanks, I stop gaming for a few months and look what happens. BFC rams CMAK into full gear mode, the CMMOD database was toasted to a cinder, no one has posted an update for CMBB CMMOS files since Abe Lincoln went arse over teakettle at Ford theater, and to top it all off I can't locate one of my CMBB file save CD's with (ofcourse), all my favorite mods on it!!! Alright alright, I'm baaaack! Now, let's get organized. First things first. A schmooze for Tanks. The shameless plug. I've located most of Tanks mods, but one of my favorite, Tanks bunker/pillbox mods cannot be found. The wood and concrete mods that were so beautiful. Really stood the pillbox world on its ear. Tanks man, I ain't spaming ya, I just wanna get me a copy of them pillboxes. (Pears someone torpedoed Tom's CMHQ site ta boot)! There's just no denying it, Tanks pillbox mod is a must have, A MUST HAVE mind ya and I ain't got it. Tank, Tom, somebody do somefink!!! I wanna copy of the pillbox mod. Gimme gimme gimme... Playing with a conscience...
Bruno Weiss replied to Jack Carr's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
What's all this SNIVILING about!!! Conscience, feelings, good will towards men baloney. Why in my day... What do they teach these kids now a days. Looky here sonny, ole Georgy himself said it best; "no poor dumb bastage ever won a war by dying for his country, he won it by making the udder poor dumb bastage die for his country." Then he slapped the piss outta some private. Er uh, well anyhow ya gotta grind em up in yer tank treads, roast em to a crisp wit flamethrowers, fill em full of holes and blast em outta dem houses. Crews for scouts...Bah! I capture me a crewman sneaking round, I execute the lil bastage with area fire right on the spot. Now, get a holt of yerselves, steel yer nerves boys. Give em the cold monitor!!! -
Now pardon me for contributing to the utter and painfully miserable distruction of the thread topic, but don't hot gases rise? I mean as opposed to air or gas that is of an ambient or average temperature. So in fact, if one were to fart in the general direction of the French, then would not the fart tend to rise upon leaving the 2nd story window as opposed to wafting at a downward angle towards the Frenchmens? I'm sure there must be some fart chart analysis somewhere, but it only seems logical that to properly engage the French with fart sniping, one should use the first floor windows where the fart then would travel along at a ground level line of sight.

Gun damage on tanks? You Crazy?
Bruno Weiss replied to Patton21's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
My crews don't bail out of gun damaged tanks, but that makes lil difference since the effect is to turn it into an armored truck. I would say the percentage of track hits would/should be higher than what presently appears to be a high percentage of gun hits. It seems to me, that the percentage rate of gun hits in CMBB has increased over CMBO. -
What can we expect from CMX2?
Bruno Weiss replied to phil stanbridge's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Aeroplanes by golly, we need to see the blighters, not their shadows. At least the wreckage from those shot down that come straight in. -
Mod requests: what mods are needed now?
Bruno Weiss replied to tooz's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Maybe this is a BTS thing, but a decent Soviet truck is desperately needed. Infact, some trucks for the Axis 3rd parties would be nice. That cotton picken dodge from CMBO spoils the whole atmosphere for the Ruskies. While there are a couple of good mods out there to make it look better, it remains the most ugly lil beast in the line up. -
Play balance problem
Bruno Weiss replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
It is a pretty good question. Only thing I can think of is something like Cacheman, which allows you to set the various memory amounts for file allocations and such. Outer Technologies -
Aberdeen schmaberdeen, I would wonder meself if the good ole boys at Aberdeen went to all the trouble and expense, not to mention research, to get the exact colors, shades, and pattern precisely right, or if'n maybe in the infinate wisdom of the army what you see is "good nuff fer gument work". That thought aside, even if they were precise those old hulks at Aberdeen sit out there in the rain, snow, wind, sun, and pollution day in, day out, for long enough to fade even the best of what Detroit might slap on it. (And I don't remember anyone up there doing any "a waxa on, a waxa off"), anytime I was there. Best turn to the books. [ June 09, 2003, 09:14 PM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]

The Official v1.04 Patch Thread
Bruno Weiss replied to c3k's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Sewer rats! I was dissappointed not to see sewer rats added to the game. Why there ain't a self respecting sewer in Moscow what ain't got a decent number of rats swimming around in it. Ambiance by golly, that's what we need! -
So when do we Europeans get the patch then?
Bruno Weiss replied to Ant's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
They'll get it when we say so, and not a moment sooner. -

Bruno Weiss replied to Flesh's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Very nice work Flesh. The bi-color brown or green on tan looks very nice and very accurate.
