  1. Sorry..but I do not understand the problem. When you did create the scenario, you have obviously saved it in the "scenario folder" with a .cmb extension, no ? (otherwise you are not able to pick it up from the "menu") If you've accidentally saved the testgame with the same name, it's automatically saved in the "saved games" folder. However, when it has the same name...it 's still stored in another folder, so you can retrieve the original from the "scenario folder". Am I am missing something ? ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects [This message has been edited by McAuliffe (edited 10-15-2000).]
  2. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Also is there any terrain mod out there to simulate a bridge over railroad? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I use the bridge-over-road-tile that comes default with the CD-rom...it works fine. Have a look at the "Trois Ponts" map at my site. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  3. Here are some interesting links regarding monuments, commemoration plaques, museums (watch the opening hours !) in the area http://users.skynet.be/bulgecriba/monuments.html http://users.skynet.be/bulgecriba/museums.html http://www.trabel.com/bastogne/bastogne-monuments.htm And of course, take a look at the scenarios and the maps I made regarding the "bulge" see link below : ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  4. Would love to try it out, but seems not yet out on the CMHQ-depot...can you send it over : eric.antonsen@pandora.be ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  5. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Tom: (...) 4.) Two Alternative Marsh Terrain Tile Sets These alternative graphics replace the marsh tiles ( bitmaps 628 - 633 ) with something that looks like flooded meadows or swamp. I think this set will look cool in D-DAY scenarios , where it could represent areas in the allied dropzones. Thanks to Kevin Peltz for this nice add-on. Inspired by Kevins graphics , I started to work on my first mod. My tiles also replace the original marsh bitmaps. With these new tiles you can build up swamp zones and small brooks which are characteristic for some european areas , especially in the Netherlands. Hint: since I added a motion blur effect on one on these tiles , this one looks great as waterfall too. All these mods can be found in the " mod " area on my website ( look at the " graphics " and " sound " sections. Regards Thomas Klimisch <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> These are a must have !...finally you can create those little rivulets and creeks. Best job I saw so far ! ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  6. you may have de-activated by accident smoke graphics...toggle SHIFT I until they re-appear. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  7. Oops...potential spoiler ahead < < < < < < < < < < < < Don't think CM allows shooting prisoners. For the un-informed, Baugnez is the location near Malmedy, where the 84 G.I.'s were massacred. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects [This message has been edited by McAuliffe (edited 10-05-2000).] [This message has been edited by McAuliffe (edited 10-05-2000).]
  8. Rommel...you're a buzzy guy. Guess, you mean the attack on the historical bordertown of Monschau (or Montjoie if french spelling). Well if there is a place where the CM-houses fit in right, it must be Monschau so let me have a try... (you know where to send it) Some pictures of Monschau : ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  9. I post here comments I made in another thread regarding this tank : <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Emos: Great work as always Tiger! BTW, did you receive my pics of KT 332 from the Patton Museum? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> If I am not mistaken, the 332 belonged to the same unit as the 213(Cdt. Dollingen). The 501. Abteilung. Von Westerhagen. The 332 was taken out during the attack of Coo-Biester af few km of La Gleize where the 213 was found. So guess same scheme applies. You will find pictures of the 213 at : http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/Forum1/HTML/010508.html Tiger used this scheme to make his Hi-Res Mod for the Königstiger. Do not know about the whereabouts of the 332, guess you could find it in the "Patton" Museum. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects [This message has been edited by McAuliffe (edited 10-04-2000).]
  10. One of te best films I ever saw about Dunkirk is Henri Verneuil's "Weekend à Zuydcoote" 1965, including story about civilians blocked in the city and french troops also waiting (in vain) for evacuation. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  11. additionial info : you can specify the number of VF in the parameters menu ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects

  13. Hi Robert Thanks for trying out the scenario. I saw your thread on the column move order in the general forum and agree that CM should work on a patch that would make this time consuming plotting less complicated. Time should be spent on thinking about tactics..and not on repetive plotting procedures. Hope we will get it soon ! 14. 1. Go into your Cmbo folder/directory 2. Delete the "Combat Mission Bynd Ovr Prefs"- 1-KB-file" 3 start up again Cmbo A screen will pop up with the resolution that is available and "skip to next" button toggle through it to set resolution you want. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  15. Welcome aboard Katjoesja..As far as I know, you're the only other Belgian on the forum Too bad, people over here are still too sceptic about ordering on-line, especially when it has to be shipped from overseas. I pre-ordered the game in May 2000. With the release up in June, it took about two weeks in order to arrive in Antwerp. A good thing however : the packing of the colli states that it is a sample without value, so no additional taxes have to be paid. I have made some scenarios about the "Bulge". You can have a look at the preview pictures on my homepage (see link below) ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects [This message has been edited by McAuliffe (edited 10-03-2000).]
  16. Thank you guys for all your comments ..and suggestions. I have compressed the scenario-files into .zip-files. Hope that this will help to download the files easier. Check also out the News section with previews of a new operation I am working on. So far, feed-back pointed out that scenarios are enjoyable and a challenge against AI, when you play the attacking side. The purpose of publishing these kind of scenarios is to evocate historic battles in an accurate scenery. Therefore it can happen that one or another side is able to seize victory in an easy way against AI. However in a PBEM it should offer a balanced play. Your comments are welcome. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects

  18. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Der Tommy: It's funny you should say that. I think that button is disabled in the demo. The only time it's visible is when the "PC is thinking" stuff is going on - then I don't have cursor control. When the "gas gauge" indicator goes away, so does the red HOTKEYS button. Can someone post the info that's on that hOTKEYS screen? Tom<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> You have acces to the hotkeys menu, even in the demo, when you click somewhere on the screen, i.o.w. when no unit is highlighted, the interface shows general information, including your morale, victory chances and the "hotkeys"button. Hope this helps. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects

  21. Thanks for your help all, soon a revised scenario will be pubished which will make it more enjoyable for all sides playing. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  22. My fault ! Guess you're referring to a preview of the STAVELOT-scenario on my webpage. Engineers in CM can unfortunately not blow up bridges. I just wanted to appeal to the imagination of the viewers. POTENTIAL SPOILER INFORMATION AHEAD To simulate this action in a scenario, I gave an arty spotter 240 mm a limited amount of rounds (4) and a target reference point on the bridge. This leaves you during the play with a chance of 1 out of 2 to destroy the bridge. (Not sure if AI will act the same way). As the destroying of the bridge played historically an important role during the siege of STAVELOT, I just wanted to incorporate this feature in the scenario. I 'am sorry if I have misled you. It was just a gimmick. Probably it will not be in the final version of the Stavelot scenario. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  23. like pbem games of 1500 pts (small maps) or 2000pts (in medium maps) with modest hills, rural or village, moderate or heavy tree coverage...play germans as well as allied, meeting or attack/assult prefer people who are able to play 5 pm / 12 pm CET... couple of turns per evening Thanks ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  24. I surely back that idea... Change the church in a factorycomplex, the big strong buildings in warehouses, the light building in rowhouses with backgardens, rough into park, small houses in small rowhouses, etc...whatever ! I too would store "CMBO-city" in a different folder, so, no need for complex switching procedures Bridges could be changed too : steelbridges, railroad bridges etc... Roads with hedges or frontgardens instead of trees. bocage to be changed in high walls or steel fences. Would love to see that. Let us see some samples. ------------------ http://users.pandora.be/aneric/index8.htm#Projects
  25. oops looks as problem has already been solved. Echo, what kind of browser are you using ?
