  1. No-kill penetration do happen in CM. Wait until your tank hits that Panther in its side, get a penetration but no kill, and the Panther then shoots your tank into pieces... You will love it.
  2. Andrew, what version of the Pershing is it? The Burgerpershing? I really like it with that second small turret on the front left. Is that raelly the additional gamey 20mm burger-thrower?
  3. Need some more crew? I'm in but only if we don't hurry during the trip. Marcus ****
  4. Whose grass are you using in those screenshots?</font>
  5. Ok, Ok! That means nobody wants me to finish this late G. Panther G (late) I will have to throw it away. And start with a Pershing. Which I never use anyway... [ June 24, 2002, 06:27 AM: Message edited by: tools4fools ]
  6. Thanks for posting the pics Warphead; was a real good trip. ParaBellum, thanks to the unreliability of the DB I made it on that train back towards Switzerland. Train was 10 minutes late and there was no conducter checking the tickets ... since I didn't have one it saved me some Euros which I invested in some more beers in the dining car Marcus ****
  7. Woops, you guys are just too fast for me. Just got home now...Sunday 06.41am local time, suffering from a even worse hangover... Great trip, hot tanks and good talking to you guys! Marcus ****
  8. See you soon! * goes and looks for his passport, films and camera, suffering from a severe hangover* M ****
  10. Looking at your member number I can see you were in a hurry...
  11. Still in myself; K_Tiger, ParaBellum, wie sieht's aus mit der Mitfahrgelegenheit ab Mannheim ( vorgeschlagener Treffpunkt Einfahrt Tiefgarage, Uhrzeit, etc.) See you soon Marcus ****
  12. A5 runter?
Interesse irgendwer? Marcus ****
  14. You don't have a problem! You have a great girlfriend! Does she have a sister? Regards Marcus ****
  15. I just checked: the allied player will not be able to buy more than 4 platoons of regular infantry (point restriction). The reason why I would chose a COMPANY of regular rifle '44 is not because I like 'em; redwolf has already pointed out some reasons why I do not. I still would go for rifle '44 in this situation because you got only 700 points! And with the company you get the company HQ plus two HMG's and the inf platoons with a small discount. Check how much you spent on crack motorized infantry! I forget 20mm weapons (either AA gun or HT) as mentioned by redwolf - they will deal with any .50 cal carrying US vehicle. The main problem is the 700 points; can't buy much with it, I would rather go for more cheap stuff than for little expensive stuff. Consider what the Allied player might get as well! 3-4 Tanks heavy mortar FO 4 platoons rifle 44 several .50 cal vehicles And you will have to defend the VL(s) as well - menas the attacker knows about where to find your infantry and guns. Another point for going for more infantry and the Hetzer. or maybe go for even more mobility - 20mm AA gun 50mm AT gun 2 platoon of mot. inf. 2 HMG plus Hetzer Puma 75mm HT
  16. Working on a new Panther, test ing how to post pics of it... Panther screens [ June 10, 2002, 09:01 AM: Message edited by: tools4fools ]
  17. 50mm Pak Company Rifle 44 (with two HMG's) 75 Arty FO LMG (all above vet) 75mm At gun (crack) More infantry and AT assets are divided in two guns. 75mm should usaully do the job and is smaller. or Hetzer 50mm Pak Company Rifle 44 (with two HMG's) Panzerschreck HMG (all above vet) Panzerschreck (crack) Without Arty here, I personally don't like 75 Arty much, if attacker moves fast its rather useless. Hetzer (if allowed) can be a though nut to crack; use as mobile AT gun.
  18. I still have to get the train schedule to get to Sinsheim and back but if it's not too bad (specially getting back to Basle the same day) I will be there. Will let you know as soon as possible. all the bets Marcus **** PS: CMBB flags are sold out in Switzerland these days otherwise I would have brought one too... ****
  19. Those die hard Germans! They don't even close their convertibles during winter!
  20. I just talked to a friend of mine about rifle grenades, he used those things in the Swiss Military not that long ago He said the tank should be at 30 or better 20 meters to score a hit, anything further away would make too much of a gamble and drawing the attention of the vehicle... Of course they could not take out tanks from the eighties with those rifle grenades, only hope was to damage the tracks and immobilize the tank. After which the tank turns its turret and... Finally the Swiss Army recognized that those rifle grenades were not very useful anymore and got rid off them... Regards Marcus **** Hetzers were in Swiss military service until the 1970s as well! ****
  21. I'm not Juju, but I informed Pat about the challenge. He changed his email recently with all the resulting Fog of Mail. Marcus [ June 06, 2002, 10:27 AM: Message edited by: tools4fools ]
  22. I would be interested in joining as well. Could do the photo assignment as well but I do not shoot with a digicam. But I do have a scanner. Weekends are OK with me, nothing planned yet. Just hope you guys don't want to start too early since I work nightshift until early Saturday morning, start off in Basle and will use the DB. On the other hand if you guys want to start early I could jump into the first train right after my shift... And that idea with the beergarden sounds real good to me...*walks away and counts his remaining Euros*... Marcus ****
  23. And you can't aera fire into snmoke either...what I sure would do with my MG's if that bridge suddenly disappears in a huge cloud of smoke...
