win 2k has still a lot of faults, its not a stable platform for games as win 98 2nd edition. Its another rushed job by microsoft,if i was you id overwrite win 2k with win 98. It amazes me that microsoft release their operating systems before their up n running.

What Systems Don't Work & What Syatems Do
ironcross replied to Cardinal Fang's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
ive a p11 233 with 64mb ram, onbaord soundcard and a voodoo banshee 16 meg,the game runs great,i was thinking of upgrading but now i dont know as people with bigger machines seem to be having problems, the only thing ive upgraded is from a 15 to a 19 inch monitor -
fionn wrote..Ps. If I had to choose an Allied unit to take massive casualties then, yes, I'd definitely choose the parachute regiment. well i suppose i should play as the germans and think that the brits where irish...as an ex/brit soldier who lost mates over the water i suppose i should forget the bombings warrenpoint the le mans bombing, manchester birmingham london bombings, guarding the wounded after a ira punishment squad had drilled out their kneecaps, helping a dying catholic man who had been blown up by a own goal as we call it.damn me for being such an imperalistic bootboy and forget the thousands who in the name of the ira or uda murdered each other. we must let the bombers out of prison ,and dont forget the bombing of lisburn by the real continuity army, who still bomb or the mad old orange order who want to march down some stupid road. If we hadnt gone in to protect the catholics in 69 it would have been ethnic cleansing by the protestants,i bet jesus wonders why he bothered. However im proud of what i did in ireland and if you want to fionn you can put my name in a scenario an spend your worthwhile hours shooting me down ------------------

Red Dawn/Amerika Scenario
ironcross replied to 137th Gebirg's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
as being of celtic stock born in england,id like a free for all, their again i used to get them most saturday nights down town.also if we remember culloden which my mothers forfathers fought in ,it should be highland scots against lowland scot scum who did the atrocitys after culloden. its a well known highland scot fact that the clearences where carried out ruthlessly by lowland scots and german mercanaries,as the english troops headed back to england after the battle. In fact a english officer tried to stop the killing of prisoners but he was sent packing. The lowland scots who became the black watch in the future where guilty of the clearences which saw highlanders sent as slaves to the west indies, their again we used to hang 9 year old boys for stealing spoons at that time. -
you also forgot the americans importing slaves thus wiping out african tribes, the treatment of the french during their religous and revolutionary periods, the treatment towards the aborigines in austrailia, the treatment of the tibetans, what is the point of this thread?? ALL Bloody countries are guilty of wrong doing

This virus is commonly called adictiveitis,it causes you to stay up till 2am playing one more turn.It causes you to actually care about the men,to get sentimental when one of them is killed,to be proud when Sgt Hayes knocks out a king tiger with a grenade in close comabt. It manifests itself when you rush off to check if the panther really did have a shot trap It means reading an rereading the bulletin board a dozen times an hour,to download every patch, scenario even though youve not played all the scenarios or even looked at them on the cd. It means explaining to your wife, girlfriend, sheep if your an aussie .That CM is improving your life. It means telling people that you always used to dress in camoflage gear,an talk with a cigar in your mouth. It means wondering who is doodo, did capt maneri really exist? Above all it means your life is ruined, but like all of us,im here for one more turn --------------------------------------------- i,ll show you where the iron crosses grow ------------------

What is your favourite scenario so far?
ironcross replied to Epée's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
my favorite whilst not a scenario rather is a operation ,utrechtesweg.I grew so attached to a piat team who took out a couple of half tracks and a stug,on knocking out the stug the guys where hit an killed by a pioneer squad that i hadnt seen creeping up,damn it how can i tell their mothers! Seriously not only has bts produced a damn good game, you guys designing scenarios are doing a good fine job SPR ramelle is cool, the jabos are good though they did kill 1 para squad accidently, has anyone been beaten though by the jerries? -
OPPS I DID IT AGAIN I PLAYED WITH DELET

My card ws charged last week still no CM!
ironcross replied to martiniman's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Im thanking god now for martiniman coming in and saving our country not once but twice!! As History shows ww11 started earlier than 1941,funnily the country that had the most to gain financally was America as it nevered suffered the bombing that other countries did. Why you have to make reference to the woodward case is rather offensive in my mind to the memory of the dead child. I take it now that you feel aggrieved to wait for your CM,their are on this board some very nice people from your country ,who ordered theirs last year, still not reeived their copy, who havent had to resort to childish comments about other countrys or people. -
does it depend on what sort of goods your ordering, here in the uk i order from amazon no customs tax also bought stuff from sellers on Ebay (once again books)no taxes paid. --------------------------------------------- re.football,I watched France vs Spain made England look like a pub team, well actually we are a pub team -------------------------------------------- i:ll show you where the iron crosses grow
