WELCOME BACK !!! I am starting a drive to provide you with a portable computer and wireless internet access next summer. Firing was a bit too lenient in my eyes ps to CJMello New Bedford was also the Northeast Heroin capital a while back too (no offense meant to residents of NB, smugglers just love a good harbor) [ 08-26-2001: Message edited by: jeffsmith ] [ 08-26-2001: Message edited by: jeffsmith ]

Apple has a two page article on WWII gaming, and CMBO gets quite a few mentions as well as being featured in the "buy now" section http://www.apple.com/games/articles/2001/08/ww2/ (the only mistake I can see at first look is they have a screenshot of CMBO but credit CC)

jeffsmith replied to corn55's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Madmatt locked up the other thread so he wouldnt continue to get flamed And he posts again with no regard for the answer he recieved or the realities of shipping No wonder this thread is like Sharks Sniffing Blood in the Water [ 08-17-2001: Message edited by: jeffsmith ] -

bite size missions for quick pbem or TCP/IP
jeffsmith replied to mensch's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Not only would they be welcome for tcp/ip & pbem, but I would also welcome smaller scenarios for playing againt the AI, as well I agree that CMBO excels in the small scale engagement and I wish there were more small scenarios. (QB's are ok but I would like to play scenarios that some thought has gone into) -
The old Laptop question chestnut!
jeffsmith replied to Dworkin's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
The Laptop I use has an 8mb ATI Rage Mobility Obviously its not as fast or as graphicly detailed as my tower but CM is very playable (and I run the Same Mods on both) -
A NEW Sherman set - please )))
jeffsmith replied to Cauldron's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I am partial to Bergmans Shermans Available @ CMHQ -
Thank You Tiger for Reconsidering I still use your original "Green" Tiger Because to me that one comes the closest to what a Tiger should be

AD I had a Rage 128 in my G3 tower I loved it when I bought it But when I got the G4 (it was actually GIVEN to me) I decided to spring for a Radeon Card to totally bring the system up to where I wanted it I notice a huge difference in Graphics !!! For me anyway it was well worth it and there is a rebate from ATI til July 31, 2001 [ 07-23-2001: Message edited by: jeffsmith ]

There are probably more Mac users playing CMBO as a percentage of total players than any other game out there. I have no hard facts other than noting the number of Mac users that consistently post here. I'm running a G4/450 320 MB of Ram ATI Radeon 32mb Video Card

This Website Needs Help
jeffsmith replied to Detroit Guy's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Actually everything you mentioned not being on Battlefront's Website is available... On the dozens of other CM sites frequently linked to this board Rather than take care of everything in one place Battlefront chose the dispersal method, where the board members sites handle the resources and Battlefront concentrates on developing. Whether this was by design or just happened is not relevant the fact is all those the resources exist PS If Madmatt were here this would have been moved to the General forum hours ago -

mac-made mod technical problem
jeffsmith replied to the cube's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Saturation levels are discussed in this thread (I did a Search rather than telling you to do a search) http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=012738 -

mac-made mod technical problem
jeffsmith replied to the cube's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I seem to recall the solution lies in the "saturation level" of the magenta it has been touched on before but I dont recall exactly what that level should be
