NVidia drivers 12+ give me garbled text using anti-aliasing
André replied to jpinard's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
Hi I have had this problem myself from time to time. It got so anoying that I just decided to disable FSAA. I just installed the latest official drivers from NVIDIA and tried to play with FSAA again. Guess what, now it works again. Heinz -

What the Hell is the H39 Hotchkiss?
André replied to Panzer Leader's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
You can find some info on early war tanks on this page, including the Hotchkiss. http://www.techpubs.wwiionline.com/ Here is me on top of one: This one was captured by the Germans a sent to Norway. There it stayed until the end of the war, and now it rests in a Norwegian Army base where these pics were taken. Its very small, that poor commander had his hands full for sure. Gunner, loader and commander at the same time! No wonder its got such a low ROF. Regards, Heinz -
Maybe this one: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Capsule/2930/CombatMission/Combatmission.htm Its made by Magua

Another thing to mention is that AMD will stick to the Socket A format for a while. Intel on the other hand have plans to switch over to another socket format in the near future. This will make it impossible or very hard for those who buy the current P4's to upgrade later. Another good reason not to buy the current P4. I myself bought a AMD Duron 600mhz some time ago. It didnt cost much and I overclocked to 900mhz! Together with my Geforce 2GTS, it was real bang for the money. I do not plan to upgrade any time soon, but when I do I will go for a new AMD without any doubts. And a Geforce 3 Ultra of course, hehe. I am sure Echo will be very pleased with his new system, so lets not try to spoil the pleasure for him. Heinz [ 05-04-2001: Message edited by: Heinz 25th PzReg ]

Here is the first modified CM2 beta picture for you to use as your desktop wallpaper. Click here to download a 1280x1024 wallpaper version: Wallpaper image Thx to the Lennort brothers for allowing me to use their tanks. I wish to repeat that the tank in this image is not from CM2, but placed there by me. The rest of the image is based on a beta version of CM2 and does not represent the final product. It is my intention to make several similar images, at least until BTS release pictures with tanks themselves. Feedback would be much appreciated, and requests for new images are welcomed. If you wish to see a special tank, let me know. Best regards, Heinz

Its basicly no different than any other 3rd party mod out there. Like other modified graphics, it does no harm. - all credits go to the original creators. - its clearly stated that its not a real CM2 picture, but a modified one. - its not used for any commercial purpose, only for the community to have on their desktops. I am sure many people would enjoy it, at least until some real CM2 pics come out. Maybe I should not have asked this question at all. Answering it may be to difficult for BTS. If anyone can think of a good reason why I shouldnt release these images, please let me know here. Regards, Heinz

I remembered seeing a video from the -45 Berlin battle featuring a huge gun mounted on a tractor. After searching the internet I found out it was the "203mm Soviet Howitzer B-4" I had seen. Does anyone have any more info on this one? Here is a picture: It was indeed used in Berlin, but I want more info. Regards, Heinz
