Possible bug: Inf movement orders
André replied to André's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I just setup a small QB, just to see if I could replicate the BUG. And it took me only 2 turns to make it happen. Unit X is ordered to move forward using the "move to engage" command and a covered arc of 30m. After moving 10m or so he spots an enemey vehicle quite a distance away and he STOPS. Why does he do that, should he continue moving until a target appears within the 30m set by the covered arc command? Using covered arcs together with the "move to engage" command does not work properly as it is now. BFC, PLEASE FIX OR SOMEFINK! -
Hi I have experienced this problem several times now, and this is what happens. I order an infantry unit to "move" or "move to engage" and press GO. The turn passes and nothing happens. Next turn I click on the unit and the waypoints are gone. I am not sure if this only happens if I use the covered arch command, but that might be the case. Anyway, has anyone else experienced this and what might possibly be the cause? Best regards, Heinz

Yes, its about time I reckon! I am talking CMBO Alpha AAR style, two renowned players fighting it out turn by turn with screenshots and all. It would make the wait for us poor souls that dont have the game yet much easier, and it would surely be fun for the rest of you lot as well. Many thanks in advance, Heinz (Topic edited because of foul language) [ October 03, 2002, 09:51 AM: Message edited by: Heinz 25th PzReg ]

Please bring back the shockwaves......!
André replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I prefer NOT to have the shockwave effect, it just doesn't look like the real thing... The way it looks now is much better, IMHO. -
At least now we have the chance to refresh the hell out of CDV as well... [ August 26, 2002, 11:12 AM: Message edited by: Heinz 25th PzReg ]

Horrible news... This means I have to break up with my girlfriend earlier than I thought. But I will have CMBB demo, so I guess its ok.

Announcing CMBB Distribution Details
André replied to Moon's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
This is indeed very disappointing news for me… Surely I can understand why BTC want to use CDV for distributing the game in Europe through retail channels. That’s great, and it means much more people will buy the game than if it were only available through the web. But what about the European hardcore fans? I don’t understand is why myself, a long time BTC and CM supporter from the early days, is not allowed to purchase the game directly from BTC upon release?!? I want to order the original game from the US as soon as it is released, and I don’t mind paying extra for shipping costs. I don’t see how this would harm CDV’s sales in Europe, cause I believe only the hardcore fans would order the game directly from BTC this way. And I know from previous experiences with CDV, that it will probably take some time for the game to reach Norway where I live. So please BTC, let the hardcore European fans order the game online directly from you, even if you charge us more. From BTC info page: -
I have already seen the written AAR in the "Operation Bone Thrown" thread. I was thinking about something similar to the now legendary CMBO ALPHA AAR between Fionn and Moon, with pictures and all. http://combatmission.com/battle/aar.asp
