Yeah, those Finns are just not up to some slight bombardment from 7.26 rounds. Still, at least they are alive to have second thoughts about things. That is more than your lads are capable of. Nice barrage. My Finns are eating pork scratchings and do some delicing while commenting on the quality of the fireworks. One of them is slightly 'Alerted', because he got his toe caught in a root. -
Lads, can you always mention what video card you are running? I was one of the Mac testers, but I had the Radeon 7000 32MB AGP in my G4/400. Because I don't like ripping electronics products in and out, I never tried the beta with the original 16MB card. On the 32MB Radeon 7000 I usually did not seem to get downsampling, when checking the debug code (I did not do that all the time when I ran it though). I had no trouble with black spots, no trouble with the mouse cursor, and very light trouble with fractured graphics in the interface (but nothing serious).

I think it is about as old as my niece, who will go to primary school this year? I have dealt with it. Wait for the powers that are to come back.

Ah yes, Dan. His system is an iMac w/8MB ATI Rage 128 card. Not sure if we had a tester with such a legacy system.

All of your CMAK Demo and Pre-Order are belong to us....

Hmmm.. Weird one. I had very slight issues like that (using the same(?) Radeon 7000 32 AGP), but nothing as bad as you seem to have - i.e. I had some fractured colours, but all was readable. Then before we finished testing I changed to PC, so I never got round to seeing what happened in the end. I'll see if I can test it on the old machine during the weekend. -

I'll be hanging around where the real war happened for the time being. -
Matey - you do not want me to get on my high horse...

Why don't you go ahead and try it... Buster?

There are a few new places for members in the Komsomol, after your recent display of infantry leadership, I understand. Where do I sign up? -
North African Orbats? Online Resources
Andreas replied to cassh's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
The site is from the same stable as Lexikon der Wehrmacht, and that is one of the best sites I know. OOB info will be from the same sources, but probably more detailed, I guess. -

That is an excellent site. -

This site linked by ex-Tweety in another thread has the Orbat for 7th Armoured. Commando Supremo has the OOB for the axis forces down to regimental level. Since battalions were just numbered, it is not too difficult below that, except that you need to know whether the divisions had 2 or 3 battalions/regiment. Lexikon der Wehrmacht has the light Afrika Divisions at this link. It has the Panzerdivisionen here. In the PDs, infantry regiments are always with 2 battalions. Tank regiments can have one or two battalions. [ November 19, 2003, 05:48 AM: Message edited by: Andreas ] -

Our Finns are looking at the fireworks display aghast. Not only is that a deplorable waste iof perfectly good ammunition (what else can you expect from planned economies?), but it has also damaged the cave where half Our troops used to live in. We judge their unhappyness by the increased amount of guttural grunting. It'll show up on the reparations bill Buster, errr... Oleg. Ps. The AFV crews are still busy high-fiving each other. War! You are welcome. You do well in your preparation for the next Olympics, where 'Hating Andreas' will be a core event. Apparently my AFV crews read the fine print in the Congress resolution, stating that Finland has always been a part of Taunton. As a result, they felt compelled to raise their concerns with the Defenders of Workers Rights from Vorkuta by putting a few rounds through their turret fronts in what was a highly amusing spectacle. T34s obviously don't stand for this kind of brutalisation. -

Contact! While I was still considering the Lappland option (just burn the whole bloody forest), in order to flush him out, his cowardly tank hordes showed themselves. No doubt driven to the front in despair by gun-wielding commissars. I know it must be so, I read it in a Paul Carell book. This lead to a highly exciting encounter in which Finnish and Soviet tank drivers celebrated the spirit of international worker collaboration and brotherhood, as well as the proclamations by the XXXXVIIICLVth Komintern Congress by repeatedly missing each other. More later, when my men have had their porridge (the only food that gives you the strength to take out a tank with a tooth-pick - in order to get at the rations of the crew), and his men have been shot by his commissars. Dealing with Anti-tank guns
Andreas replied to MaverickBret's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
It really depends on how prepared the position is. IRL it could be that the gun could be rolled back a little bit, and/or the crew getting into a dugout. Difficult to say for all cases. You have to remember that 'sighting' in CM is not just visual sihgting of the equipment, but also includes sound, and e.g. muzzle blast/fumes. -
Ah, I hope this one makes it into CMAK
