  1. I was playing Korsun relief, and it anyoed me. Yes i know it was historical, and it is not fair. But this doesnt mean that i will have fun with it. There are Historical examples of single companys holding up enitre Divisions, but if u would port it to CMBB/CMBO it would be just a disastrus Scenario with no fun for everyone. I think the key-word for Histrical sceanrios is --> is it playable and portable on the CMBB engine ? Tankbattles in muddy terrain are for me not playable, it is sily and boring (in MY eyes). I didnt scored this scenario on any depot, but if i would do it the score sould be not high for sure. And for all other Scenarios delivered with the CD i got to say that most of them are "non-fun Scenarios" at least the ones i tryed to play vs a human opponent they are vastly disbalanced or with other strong hooks that make em frustrating and boring to play vs Human opponents.

  3. If the results of the Test would be realistic Germany would got have real difficuluts placing Tigers on the Front, think about a Tiger Factory every 2 Km on the whole front, because u dont wanna make it more then 2 km´s with a Tiger lol
  4. but then the Tension of the "unknown Terrain" for both players is gone...... Better would be a little setting in the QB Menue Map Lenght, Widht and # of flags
  5. I realy enjoy the QB i play with my Friend. Most times we play large Battles with 5.00o pts. But there is realy a thing i dont like. The Maps are in Generall to broad but not deep enough also the Flags are spread out over the whole broad side of the map which makes it hard for the Defender to secure them all. IMO it would be nicer to have fewer but more concentratet Flags and deeper Room of Terrain instead of braod, at least some form of quadratic Maps, is there anyway we could adress this in the upcomming patch ?

  7. Here is an evil idea from me for upcomming Versions of CM (i think it is to radical for a Patch). Seperate the Move Orders and the firing Rules... Have a Move Conmmand Scalable from crawl to run storm etc... fineHave a Move Conmmand Scalable from crawl to run storm etc... fine and have firing rules for units ala "Cover Arc Armour" or "hold Fire" or "Close Defense Fire only" or Simple Cover Arcs. Is a Cover Arc able to get past 180° ? if not such a thing would be.... I think you can imagine how i mean it...... BTS FIX IT OR DO SOMEFINK !!! At least meanwhile give us back the sneak and crawl command again....... Uedel
  8. since the units in CMBB not anymore automaticly assigned to leave map for points like in CMBO. And u have to select every single unit and make it valueable for exitpoints, would it be possible to add a litte button in the unit detail screen (the one where u can modifiy the ammo expierence special names etc...) to go simple forward or back to the next/previous unit in the list ? Currently it is very time consumpting to go into detail-screen, select drop down box, change value, go back to purchase screen select next unit and on and on and on.... Uedel

Hy all, here 2 Bugs i discovered........... 1st Ampulomet: looks like a Soviet Firebomb Mortar with limited range (250 meters), but not like other mortars it is unable to fire indirect without LOS by using a HQ Unit for spoting, Correct or feature ? 2nd German Version: Sondkontakt of a light Tank is named "leichte Panzerung?" should sureley mean "leichter Panzer?" because "Panzerung" means the ammount of Armour a Tank has but "Panzer" means "Tank" and makes more sense.... 3rd CMBB unspecific after just 1 liter of Whiskey i get drunk ? Fix in progress ?

  12. @Steve Just a suggestion, why not make Briefings in HTML? Easy for many people and offers all the posibilitys we use now in the Net. and also a Question to the new Operations, I read that units now dont get withdrawn in some Operation-forms, means that we now are finaly able to encircle someone in a Operation ??

  14. Rommel choosed the Poison instead of the Tribunal, because he knew that after a Tribunal his family would be pursued by the Nazi-Judgement. The Reason for the Choice between Poison or Tribunal (shooting) was that he was suggestet to be a leader in a Anti-Hitler Conspiracy of the Generals that wantet to offer American and British troops the surrender and therefor prevent Germany to be overrun by the Soviets (which they by far feared more then the US&UK Boys). Bo Evidence was found after his death that he did ever where involved by in this Conspiracy.
  15. @ Micheal i shot the MG 3 in the German Army (88-92) what is about the same as MG42 (3 pieces changed only), and there is no such fine trigger mechanisem that selects between bursts or sustained fire, it is the gunner that has the feeling of how many rounds u let out the tube. As for me it was easy to shot 1, 3 or ~10-15 rounds per burst. @all the Accuracy for the MG 3 (MG42) is very high and i was very well in shooting targets at 600meters with it, also it is by far NOT uncontrolable in sustained fire mode (i fired once a 200 rounds belt in one piece for showing close defense capapilitys of the MG 3) and it was at every moment very controllable on its bipod (thats the way a Soldier fires the MG 3) Also it was very accurate when u used the Lafette for the MG 3 with Scope. Damn then this MG is like a Autofire Sniper Weapon.
  16. Damn i runed nacked around my house ... and i tell ya that it took damn long to tell the police officers and the Dr. who where joining this little party that i am not some kind of nuts... (fortunatly the Policemens and the Psychatric where also computer strategiegame fans and after clearing it out we runned all nacked around the house, praying for SC and CMBB to be released, lol what a party... :cool: )
  17. I dont mind when they call Waffen SS as Waffen Grenadiere, but latest rumors saying that in the Original US Version all Soviet Soldiers have the Face of Ken (From Barbie Mattell) so have fun with this gay people out there in the US (g,d&r) :cool: :cool: :cool:
  18. I think the MM in CM is sometimes a little to heavy, and i would be glad if the AI is smarter. In CloseCombat there was a little nice TacAI of the Infantry, that i would like to see in CMBO. It worked like this, take a platoon near to a Wall and u could see the infantry men grouchying up to that wall and using it as cover (when close to 2-3 meters to it) the createt a smart line of inf. behind that Wall. Also the same when placed to Trenches or something like that. In woods you could see the Infantry spreed out using the trees as cover etc etc. I know CM and close combat are a little of a different scale, where u could see single Soldiers in CloseCombat u cant see it in CM but it is sometimes very Timeconsuuming to move your squad to this "perfect" positions. I would like to see it if the TacAI is able to move on it self to positions in a range for example of 5-8 meters with a much higher covervalue instead of staying in open ground. As a side note, the mechanics for this are allready in the Game (Test: take a squad place it in open ground and put a pile of woods in the adjectent pile, put the squad in hide and wait, after ~5-10 turns the squad runs to the woods, faster if a thread pops up, but also witout one) it would only take some optimizing of this code to let this happen faster (i.e. if laying on open ground and a slope is 5 meters behind the inf should quickly (after max 1 turn of inactivity) decide to fall back to that slope to benefit some of the cover provided by this. Also they should use crawl instead of run to minimize the change to get explored (right now the standart move for TacAI moves is run)this would not disturb the player decisions (because it takes a while of inactivity) but would help for units currently not in the scoope of action and unnoticed by the player for a while.
  19. I would be happy when we only could link scenarios together and the option to overtake the Attacking forces and the defending forces to the next map. Also Reinforcements could be assigned like now in the Operations (Btl. Regiment. Brigade. Division Reserves etc). Nothing to complicatet but easy to implement IMO but i am not a programmer.

  21. Hello, Since Operations in CMBO are a little problemous to voarious known problems, i come to the Idea to Fix this Easy. Linked Scenarios.... Sceanrios (single Battles) are working very fine in CMBO, so enhance them by allowing a Scenariodesigner to set a following scenario. Just a select field what scenario comes next, optional the current Rooster of Men and Vehicles could be overgiven to the new map/scenario like in operations now (with some vehicles repaired etc) but also the scenario designer could assign a complete new force with setups for the new map as he want. As supreme we could link the follow up scenario to the state of the victory loose condition Maj. Victory --> Scenario xxx1 Give Units over to new map = yes Minor Victory --> Scenario xxx2 Give Units over to new map = no (as example) draw --> Stay on same map Minor defeat --> Scenario yy1 major defeat --> Sceanrio yy2 (state of Victory or defeat is bound on the Attacking force) This would give scenario designers a wide flexibility and could make some very intressting Linked Scenarios. In short Linking Scenarios together depending on the status of Victory, and possibility to give troops over to new map Yes or No. Shouldnt be to hard to implement i think.
