Sorry speedy! You just got the whole vomit because you where the last poster. My reaction was to ALL the whining prophets in this thread. My reaction to your post was based on that you said you probably wont bye CMX2 second title because you have a game with a vaster oob and scope. How can you make such a prediction from 2 screenshots and some rather simple descriptions from BF? Is it because you want the 9m x 9m plain sandbox and you think you wont be satiesfied with the 6m x 6m with the Stryker in it? Maby the new engine is so great that you never play a CMx1 game again? I think that CMX3s first title will be modern combat again. I will probably bee feed up by modern by then so I will not bye the first title of CMX3. NOOOOT. I suspect that this wont be a problem once the "Borg Spotting" is a thing of the past. Commander: -infantry, gunner engage. Driver turn hull towards threat.......wait driver turn hull SSE. I sense a tank is aproaching since one of our radioless MMG teams spotted the same. Me and the loader in that teams is twins so we have a psykic bond. BANG Side Turret penetration. Abandon tank. I´m worried too aboot Eichenbaum. He will make a great game for sure. Probably put every gamecompany there is out of business. Man will we be sorry. Battlefront seems to be unwilling to provide a more advanced strategic layer. What are their main reasons why they can't generate a set of textfile's after a battle. I look forward to the minicampaigns. It's not totaly what i want, but its defenetly better then the system of CMx1. I was well on my way with a strategic layer for CMBO made in JAVA. Ermm! Sorry Steve, but that was a realy lame excuse! I would have bought it if you said "shrugg" N is close to M. But you noticed and then decided to let it in. For the fun of it? I like Normandy. A good first choice for the first game with the new enginge. Arnhem for the expansion? Hope you decide to take some less comersial conflicts in later games. Any new words on the campaign? I don't belive my eyes. Campaign mentioned twice....BY STEVE! Absolutly fantastic. The one and only thing that made me stop playing all the CM games after some months each. I win a battle against all odds. I press the "look at map" buttom. Wathing one of my italian infantry units scoring 37 kills. That brave unit held of a horde of mean inbread britts. Amazed that some of my armoured cars with 20mm "can't penetrate a beercan" canon survived. Those bastards realy suck. The only thing worse than the armourpenetration is the HE blast value. Can't kill anything with those. Opps! Im ranting... Anyway, after klicking the go buttom you go back to the AAR and then nothing. Absolutly nothing more. What happend to my little brave unit? Did the rest of the platton run like chickens again? Did the Armour car platoon(whats left of it) actually manage to kill something before the campaign was over? I rarly played more than one scenario a day. It was boring to start again with new units and a new mission. The total war series single battles get pretty tiresome after a short while, but i have played it for a long time in campaignmode because of the strategic map. I have got rid of all my addictions....im afraid that i will regain one. /BjörnE
