Another problem with T-34s is that the engine doesn't last longer than 3000 km if you are lucky ! Imagine every 3k instead of changing oil you would have to get a new engine. I would like to have a Tiger. Some bugger with 4x4 would piss me off I would rotate my turrent right in front of his nose he he...you won't even have to worry about somebody cutting you off, or scratching the paint Peter

Who will be the first Canadian to recieve CM?
risc replied to Boris Balaban's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I'm front Toronto, Canada as well. Assuming mine will be shipped today (I pre-ordered last year around september or so) it will hopefully arrive around next Friday ? Peter -
Actually guys, the less you talk about warez here and CM the better it will be. If CM gets posted on a Russian Cheness web sites there is nothing Battlefront cand do about it and the bad thing will actually be you will post the URL to the site ... So the less people know the better it will be ... Peter

Detonator 2 drivers for Nvidia cards
risc replied to CoolColJ's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Hey Lucke what's SB15 chipset ? I have P3 500Mhz 256Mb ram Diamond TNT2 Ultra seems going great so far but my next target is 1Ghz P3 with 1GB ram and Hercules GeForce 2 64Mb DDR. Peter -
Madmatt, I too want to get GeForce2 with 64MB RAM but next year. I will wait for more updated drivers better support in games and MORE IMPORTANTLY better price . So far my Utltra is doing a fine job. I will probably go for Hercules but I will also need to get TV-in card as extra so I can convert my Formula - 1 races from my VHS to CD mpeg. Peter

ATR worked well with my 486DX100 16MB ram. It worked great with my Pentium 133 32MB ram. The game was OK when you figured out what the designers did. I think it was worth it to buy the game since with the game came Another CD with 45 minutes of WW2 history for tankers an excellent documentary the money were worth it just for that. I don't have the game anymore but the Manuals I still have and are the best in a wargame/tank sim that I have ever seen. I have yet to see something come close to it. Perhaps CM manual will be as good as ATR manuals. Peter

I like SP WAW. Its a different kind of wargame compared to CM. CM is great but I will still play different types of wargames. My #1 is still Tigers on the Prowl 2 and Panthers in the Shadows. There are other tactial wargames like Close Combat 1 that I still play. Peter

Man I wake up this morning fire up my box before I go to work, just check my email you know And what do I see greetings from Battlefront, I knew something was up. So read first part of the message...some money off some other products, I'm just about to delete when I spot the message about CM Gold demo being out. Damn I was thinking hard staying home and calling sick for a day. I have decided to go to work after all and read bout the demo here first... I'm alright...I will get it eventually Peter -
Sure thing Bill ! I'm glad that I don't need my old copy of SP3 to play it. Hopefully the new version will work in Win2000 pro. The new higher resolution is very appreciated. Peter [This message has been edited by risc (edited 05-05-2000).]

Hi All, I have question about PBEM feature in CM. I wonder if someone can answer me please. When I played the Alpha demo PBEM I found it to be iritating exchanging all the files some many times before anything happened. If I remember it right I had to exchanged the email game file like 4 times before a turn was over. Is there a possibility to use a simple version of the PBEM feature? I mean do it, just I do with other wargames. If I play with respected people I don't want to go through that highly secured PBEM road because it's just a waste of time ..I will spend more time sending and recieving files than actually having fun with my friends. Is it possible ? Thanks... Peter

DEF BUNGIS, you are just joking right ? Peter PS: Western Front was just a side show. [This message has been edited by risc (edited 03-31-2000).]
